As you continue your culinary exploration, you’ll visit a charming milk bar, a beloved institution that has been serving up wholesome, affordable meals for generations. Venture deeper into the heart of the city, and you’ll discover a cozy pierogi restaurant, where the skilled chefs have perfected the art of these iconic dumplings. Savor a variety of fillings, from the classic potato and cheese to more adventurous options like wild mushroom or sauerkraut and meat, each bite a testament to the ingenuity and passion of Polish culinary traditions.

Throughout the tour, your guide will regale you with tales of Polish culture, history, and the evolution of the country’s gastronomy. You’ll learn about the influential role of various European influences, from the German-inspired “bigos” (hunter’s stew) to the Jewish-inspired “gefilte fish,” all of which have been seamlessly woven into the fabric of Polish cuisine.

Louis was a wonderful guide. He said he just started doing this in the last few months but he was extremely knowledgeable. The food and drinks in the 5 places we went were all good. We let Louis know that we needed to walk slower than he was used to and he slowed down; we only had one other couple on the tour who were glad to walk slowly and talk. Rosa was on the tour as a trainee and she also gave us lots of information. Overall an excellent tour. Read more

All the food we had was good. I was disappointed because I knew more about Polish food and culture than our guide. Our guide was so kind and sweet but she had only lived in Poland a very short time and didn’t know anything about Polish food or culture. It was a disappointment for how much the tour cost. I have done food tours around the world in many different countries and unfortunately this was one of the worst 🙁 Read more

Fantastic foods across a stunning range of restaurants in a city steeped with history. My wife and I highly recommend – the tourist made so much better by Cesar’s love of his city. He is incredibly knowledgable and offers many insights into Polish food

Shawn was great! Very knowledgeable about the history of old town. He took me to places I would never have discovered

We got to sample many traditional polish dishes. Cesar was happy to answer all our questions and was knowledgeable on polish foods and history. We did have a long walk of 3 km to our fourth restaurant.

The conversations were amazing and instant friendships were made. The teacher was kind and patient with all the side conversations and very knowledgeable about the practice of making the perogis. The shots of various types of homemade liquor were great and a lovely addition to the night.

The food, the guide was fantastic-learned so much also about the history. Small venues we ate at. Would highly recommend.

I thought it was very an interesting and wonderful experience to have experienced the food/drinks at five different restaurants. However, the distance from the third to fourth place was somewhat far, and that walking distance may not be suitable for some older folks.

Fruitful event to learn about warsaw
