As you embark on this tour, you’ll be transported back in time, tracing the footsteps of the vibrant Jewish community that once thrived in Warsaw. The tour begins at Sienna 53, a building that holds deep significance, as it served as the administrative center of the Warsaw Ghetto during the Nazi occupation. Here, you’ll learn about the harrowing experiences of the Jewish people who were forced to live within the confines of the Ghetto, and the remarkable acts of resistance and resilience that unfolded in the face of unimaginable adversity.

The guide was very knowledgeable however, she was not enthusiastic. Our party all felt that she was very defensive about the holocaust and Poland’s role in it. She made sure to underscore that the concentration camps were German concentration camps and had nothing to do with Poland or with the Polish people. She did not show any sense of outrage or horror over what took place. This had not been our experience in any of the many countries we visited on our trip. To her credit, the guide did extend the tour for us to include everything.Read more

Our tour guide Agnieszka was extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. The tour truly was a journey through the history of the Jewish in Warsaw. The city of Warsaw has so many subtle reminders of the Warsaw Ghetto, however if you weren’t guided through them, you wouldn’t even know they existed. That is why I highly recommend this tour.

Oliwia was a knowledgeable, smart, and kind guide through this area and rich and tragic period of Jewish history and history in general. She is passionate about her role in shedding clear light on the past to build a better future. Accompanying the sites with stories and flip charts, she enable me to come away with an understanding of what happened in Warsaw during World War II and beyond that I never had before. Then she even helped get to the right tram so I could get to the train that was part of my tightly planned itinerary. Highly recommend.Read more
