We had a wonderful time with Adrian on our tour! The places he took us on the food tour were wonderful and very authentic Polish food. You definitely want to come hungry as there is plenty of food! We were lucky to have a private tour on a rainy Sunday night and Adrian gave us such a great introduction to Warsaw and told us interesting facts about the city. His warm personality made the night go very fast! I highly recommend this tour in Warsaw and one of the best guides we’ve experienced! Read more

I really enjoyed this food tour as Adrian took me to traditional establishments in Warsaw that I wouldn’t have found on my own. Adrian is very knowledgeable and he’s studied food technology. He is also really friendly. I would highly recommend his food tours.

Adrian was an excellent host, providing the history of the city in the context of the food we tried. The selection of food gave us a chance to taste all the traditional foods of Poland.

Adrian was a gracious and knowledgeable host. He even went out of his way to recommend book stores I could visit and helped me practice my Polish pronunciation (which surely required some patience). We visited 5 locations and the opportunity to feast on a variety of delicacies. Come hungry and don’t gorge yourself too much at the first stop. My favorites were the plum filled Polish donut and the flavored vodka.

Adrian, the tour guide, was terrific. This tour includes 5 stops, each with a particular feature of Polish cuisine. Adrian mixed in stories of the place’s or food’s origins, enriching the experience with some history. One stop–the second- harkens to the communist era in Poland and offered the absolutely best tasting meatballs in a dill sauce and little potato pillows that Adrian cautioned (and was right) are NOT gnocchi. Along the walking route, we passed some noteworthy sites that Adrian pointed out, giving me a better sense of direction in the city; we did walk past a Domino’s Pizza. I stopped to take a photograph, and Adrian asked, “Why?” I explained that we had exported the worst pizza in America to Poland. Adrian’s knowledge shined through when he spoke of how pizza is, right now, a “hot” food in Poland with a lot of new outlets, each with their own take on what Americans, like me, consider a staple. The route has enough walking to keep our appetite up, but to be sure, for a 5pm tour, DON’T EAT AFTER 1 PM. You want your appetite. I am hardly fleet of foot, and I found the walking quite manageable. Sensible footwear is a must, if not for the simple fact that you’ll be walking sometimes on cobblestone or brick pavement then because when I went we had some snow and slippery sidewalks. Again, if I could manage the walking, so can you. I enjoyed everything we ate and drank, including a couple of shots of Polish liqueurs, a sort of flavored vodka. Most of all, over the just more than 2 hour event, I thoroughly enjoyed Adrian’s friendliness and knowledge about the foods, about Poland’s history, and about Warsaw. The conversations with him were fantastic. This is the tour to take.Read more
