I mean, sure, the name says “bright” right there, but honestly, I wasn’t expecting floor-to-ceiling windows that basically turn your morning coffee into this whole cinematic experience. The apartment faces the Palace of Culture – and I’m talking about a proper view here, not some awkward side angle where you’re craning your neck to see anything worthwhile.

The space itself is actually generous, which is refreshing because let’s be honest, a lot of city apartments promise “spacious” and deliver “you can touch both walls with your arms outstretched.” This one’s got room to actually spread out your stuff without feeling like you’re living out of a suitcase in a closet. The kitchen’s fully kitted out too – I ended up cooking a couple nights because the local market nearby had these incredible fresh ingredients, and there’s something nice about not eating out every single meal when you’re traveling. The bed’s comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and the bathroom’s modern without being sterile. There’s this little balcony area where I’d sit with my evening drink, watching people head to shows at the Palace – the energy around there picks up in the evenings, but it’s not obnoxiously loud or anything.

What really sealed it for me was how easy everything was. Check-in was smooth, the host actually knew useful stuff about the neighborhood (where to grab decent coffee at 7 AM, which tram line gets you downtown fastest), and the building itself feels secure but not intimidating. The area’s got this nice mix – cultural stuff obviously, but also regular neighborhood life happening. I’d walk to this little bakery a few blocks over most mornings, and there’s a park nearby that locals use for their evening runs. Parking was straightforward if you’re driving, though honestly you probably won’t need a car much once you’re settled in. The 9.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s one of those places where all the basics are handled really well, plus you get that view as a bonus. I mean, waking up to the Palace of Culture every morning definitely beats staring at a brick wall or someone else’s laundry line.
