6th Floor Modern Apartment with French Balcony and City Views

Honestly, when I first saw the address on Grzybowska, I wasn’t sure what to expect – it’s one of those streets that’s been completely transformed over the past few years. But this sixth-floor apartment really surprised me in the best way. The French balcony isn’t huge (I mean, it’s not like you’re going to host dinner parties out there), but it opens up the whole space and gives you these genuine city views that actually make you want to linger with your morning coffee. You know what I love about staying this high up? You get all the energy of Śródmieście without the street noise that can drive you crazy in some of the ground-level places around here.

The apartment itself feels properly modern without being sterile – someone clearly put thought into making it livable rather than just Instagram-worthy. The kitchen is actually functional, which matters if you’re staying more than a couple nights and want to grab groceries from the Żabka downstairs or hit up the weekend market on Plac Zbawiciela (it’s maybe a 10-minute walk, totally doable). I was pleasantly surprised by how quiet it gets in the evenings, considering you’re right in the heart of everything. The building’s pretty well-maintained too – the elevator works reliably, which honestly isn’t always a given in Warsaw, even in the newer developments.

Location-wise, you’re basically in the sweet spot. Palace of Culture is right there if you need to orient yourself (though locals will probably roll their eyes if you use it as a landmark), and you can walk to most of the good stuff in Powiśle or even venture toward the Old Town without needing the metro. Speaking of which, the closest station is Rondo ONZ, maybe five minutes away, so getting to Wilanów or out to Mokotów is pretty straightforward. The area gets busy during the week – lots of office workers since you’re near the financial district – but weekends have this nice, lived-in feel when the locals are out walking their dogs and grabbing brunch. I’d definitely stay here again, especially for the price point. It’s not luxury by any means, but it’s exactly what you want when you’re actually trying to experience the city rather than just pass through it.

  What could be improved: Toilet is loose, sofa is cheap and uncomfortable, there is a wall hanging by the side of the bed. I banged my head on this wall-hanging twice. A stupid place to put this wall hanging

  The location of the apartment is great, very central and easy to get to the public transport in every direction. The apartment has quite everything you might need, incl. hand and shower soap (not always provided from my other experiences).
  The whole building is a bit old and might look a bit "scary," especially the corridors inside, but the apartment is OK and cozy. Generally, a good option for a short stay.
  
  What could be improved: Unfortunately, as the building is old, the windows are as well… the windows are not tight (leaky) and there was a cold wind blowing from the window crack directly on my head, as the bed is just by this window. I was sleeping in a hat on the first night, haha.
  The bed sheet was a bit smelly. They looked clean, but probably a lack of fabric softener.

  Location is perfect, the apartment is clean and has all necessary utilities that one may need. The hosts even provided tea, coffee and all kinds of spices, which was really nice and comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: The shelf over the bed is hanging very dangerously and we have had a traumatic experience when my husband hit his nose with this shelf and the nose was bleeding. Please remove the shelf from that spot.

  Place is small, cozy, comfy bed, clean and tidy. Kitchen has all amenities needed to make your stay comfortable.
  Communication with owner is smooth and in a timely manner.
  
  Nearby you have restaurants, grocery stores, public transportation and green areas to walk your dog.
  
  Don't mind the exterior, due to the fact it's located in a building with a lot of residents, the halls and common areas can be dirty, messy and smelly; but once inside the flat, you're in a much more better place (don't be scared). 😉 😉 😉
  
  What could be improved: Please, have a clothes hanger and also have the washing machine fixed. I put on my clothes and thought water was running, barrel was not doing its job so I ended up with wet clothes full of detergent. Despite trying everything over and over again, nothing worked. Owner said they would look into. Other than that, nothing to complain at all.

  Great location, park and parking nearby, shops, everything. Kitchen fully equipped, even plenty of coffee and tea. Nice view and again the location is really good. Nice decorations too.
