Okay, so I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Air-Conditioned GatawayStudio,” I thought it was going to be one of those soulless apartment conversions that are everywhere these days. But you know what? This place actually surprised me. It’s tucked away on Grzybowska Street in Wola, which honestly used to be pretty gritty but has really come up in the world lately. The studio itself is exactly what it says on the tin – clean, modern, and yes, properly air-conditioned (which you’ll appreciate if you’re visiting Warsaw in summer when it gets stupidly hot). The space feels bigger than you’d expect, probably because they didn’t try to cram too much furniture in there. I mean, it’s still a studio, so don’t expect a palace, but the layout actually works. The kitchenette is functional enough if you want to grab groceries from the Żabka down the street instead of eating out every meal – though honestly, with all the good restaurants popping up in this neighborhood, you might not want to cook much.

The real selling point here is the location, and I don’t mean that in the generic “convenient location” way that every hotel claims. Walking to Central Station takes about ten minutes if you’re not dragging a massive suitcase, maybe twelve if you are. The route’s pretty straightforward too – basically a straight shot down Grzybowska, then you hit the station complex. No confusing turns or sketchy underpasses to navigate. Having parking on-site is actually a big deal in Warsaw (trust me on this), especially in this area where street parking can be a nightmare. The building itself sits right in the heart of what’s become Warsaw’s business district, so there’s always something happening around here – coffee shops opening early, people heading to work, that kind of urban energy. It can get a bit noisy during rush hour, but the windows are decent quality so it’s not too bad with them closed. What I really liked was how easy everything felt – checking in was smooth, the elevator worked (you’d be surprised how often that’s not a given), and the WiFi was actually fast enough to video call home without wanting to throw my laptop out the window. The whole building feels well-maintained, which isn’t always the case with these converted office-to-residential places. You’re also walking distance from some genuinely good spots – there’s this little Vietnamese place called Pho Hanoi about five minutes away that locals actually go to, not just tourists. And if you need to get anywhere else in the city, you’ve got buses, trams, and obviously the train station right there. For what you pay and what you get, especially with that 8.7 rating that seems pretty spot-on, it’s solid choice if you want something modern and practical without the inflated prices of the Old Town hotels.

  The apartment is small but there are everything you need for comfortable staying. Located in very good area in walking distance to the central part of the city. You can find a few restaurants and shops around. A very nice thing: you definitely will feel welcome after finding a nice chocolate and biscuits there. A towels were beautiful wrapped. Communication with host was an excellent.
  
  What could be improved: We didn’t like a smell on the stairs when used it to get to the apartment. But there are two elevators. We just like to be more flexible and to use the stairs)))

  Quite a cozy apartment, although it turned out to be a little smaller than it appeared in the photo, but it suited me. The cottage has all the necessary things for living. Super good location!
  
  What could be improved: The initial price for the rent was 32 euros, but 65 was taken off at the checkout. Then I realized that in very small text it was written +33 euros for cleaning. This is strange, I have not seen this before. But maybe it's a local rent payment scheme. But the most unpleasant thing was that right before check-in, the owner wrote to pay an additional 10 euros in cash for the fact that I will be with a cat and it will have hair (although the initial search for housing was with a filter where you can move in with a pet). I had no choice, because I was on the road all night, with a cat in my arms and next morning had flight. And of course the rent was already paid and could not be canceled. Very unpleasant experience. I got the impression that the fee collection scheme is quite unfair.
