First thing that hits you is how the staff actually seems to care. You know that feeling when you walk into a place and immediately sense whether people want to be there? These folks do. Check-in was smooth, no weird upselling attempts, and the guy at the front desk actually gave me useful local recommendations instead of just pointing to some tourist trap brochure. The lobby’s nothing fancy – sort of modern minimalist thing going on – but it’s clean and there’s decent WiFi that actually works throughout the building (tested it myself because, let’s be real, that’s make-or-break these days).

Here’s what really surprised me though: for a 3-star place, they’ve got their act together in ways that matter. Rooms are well-designed – I mean, not huge, but everything’s laid out smartly so you’re not tripping over your suitcase. The bed was actually comfortable (firm but not rock-hard), and the shower had proper water pressure. What really sealed it for me was the vibe of the other guests. You get a mix of business travelers and couples, but it’s not overrun with tour groups or bachelor parties. The location works well – you’re not right in the thick of everything, but you’re close enough to get where you need to go without spending a fortune on transport. There’s a good local café about two blocks away that the front desk recommended, and they were spot-on about it.

Look, it’s not going to win any design awards, and if you’re the type who needs a spa and room service, keep looking. But if you want a place that gets the fundamentals right without unnecessary frills – and doesn’t charge you premium prices for the privilege – Air Hotel delivers. That 9.0 rating isn’t an accident. It’s one of those places that reminds you why sometimes the best travel experiences come from spots that just focus on doing their job really, really well.
