What struck me first was just how genuinely local this place feels. You know how some accommodations try so hard to be trendy that they lose all personality? This is the complete opposite. The apartment sits in one of those neighborhoods where you’ll actually hear Polish being spoken in the cafés downstairs, and the morning routine includes the sound of trams rattling by – which, I mean, some people might find annoying, but I thought it was kind of charming in that authentic city way. The owner clearly knows the area inside and out, and you can tell because all the little touches make sense. Like, there’s actually good coffee in the kitchen (not that instant stuff), and the shower pressure is surprisingly decent – honestly, you’d be amazed how many places get that wrong.

The location thing is where this place really shines, though. When they say “blisko centrum,” they’re not kidding around. I could walk to the main square in about twelve minutes, maybe fifteen if I stopped to grab a zapiekanka from one of those late-night food windows. But here’s what I really appreciated – you’re close enough to everything that matters, but you’re not right in the middle of all the tourist chaos. The street gets quiet after about 10 PM, which means you can actually sleep without earplugs. There’s a small grocery store literally around the corner (and I mean literally – turn left, walk thirty seconds, there it is), plus this little bakery that opens ridiculously early if you’re one of those people who needs fresh bread with breakfast. Parking was… well, it’s a city center, so street parking requires some patience, but there’s a small lot about two blocks away that’s not too expensive.

What really sold me on this place, though, was that 9.5 rating, and after staying there, I totally get it. The apartment itself is clean without being sterile, comfortable without trying to be fancy. The Wi-Fi actually works properly – I know that sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many places mess that up. Check-in was super straightforward, no weird complications or hidden fees. And honestly? For a 3-star place, it punches way above its weight. You’re not getting marble bathrooms or a concierge, but you are getting a genuine neighborhood experience with all the practical stuff handled well. If you want to feel like you’re actually staying in the city rather than just visiting it, this is your spot.

  cozy and clean. relatively calm. approx. 30-40 mins by tram to the city center. tram and bus stop next to the building. lot of shops and bakeries around. a small bottle of water, tea and coffee were a nice gesture. well equipped. suitable for shorter stay.
