You know what? I was honestly skeptical when I first saw the address – Icchoka Lejba Pereca street isn’t exactly the most famous spot in Warsaw, and I’d never heard of it despite knowing the city pretty well. But this little apartment turned out to be one of those hidden gems that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special. It’s tucked away in Wola, which used to be this gritty industrial district but has really transformed in recent years. The location is actually brilliant once you figure it out – you’re close enough to walk to the Old Town (maybe 20 minutes if you don’t mind the stroll), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with tourist crowds every time you step outside.

The apartment itself feels like someone’s actual home rather than a sterile hotel room, which I mean in the best possible way. There’s this lived-in comfort that you just can’t fake – proper coffee cups instead of those tiny hotel ones, a kitchen that’s actually equipped for cooking (not just reheating), and honestly some of the most comfortable bedding I’ve encountered in Poland. The building is one of those classic Warsaw structures that survived the war, so there’s character in the creaky wooden floors and high ceilings, though don’t expect modern soundproofing. You’ll hear your neighbors sometimes, but it’s more charming than annoying. What really impressed me was how clean everything was – I’m talking spotless bathroom, fresh linens that actually smelled good, and not a speck of dust anywhere.

The neighborhood surprised me too. There’s this fantastic little bakery about two blocks down that opens ridiculously early (perfect if you’re dealing with jet lag), and you’re walking distance from some really solid restaurants that locals actually go to. The tram connections are excellent – you can get pretty much anywhere in the city without much hassle, and there’s usually parking available on the street if you’re brave enough to drive in Warsaw. I stayed there during a particularly busy conference week in September, and while other parts of the city were absolutely packed, this area stayed relatively quiet. The host was responsive without being intrusive, and check-in was smooth even though I arrived later than planned. For a 3-star place, the attention to detail really stands out – things like having enough towels, reliable wifi, and a shower with actual water pressure. It’s not luxury by any means, but it’s exactly what you want when you’re exploring a city and need a comfortable base that doesn’t break the bank.

  The location is just near the Central railway station and the view is spectacular, especially at night. The owners left some tea, coffee, oil and also some small useful things like tooth brush, deodorant etc. The apartments is really nice and cozy. Definitely can recommended it.
