Hotel Description
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “APARTAMENT na DLUGIEJ” listed, I wasn’t sure what to expect. The name’s pretty straightforward (it literally means “apartment on Long Street”), but you know what? Sometimes the most understated places surprise you. This spot sits right on Długa Street in the heart of Śródmieście, and I mean really in the heart of it – you’re basically a three-minute walk from the Royal Castle and maybe five from the Old Town Square. The thing is, Długa is one of those streets that feels authentically Warsaw without being touristy, if that makes sense. You’ve got actual locals grabbing coffee at the corner spots, and the tram lines are close enough to be useful but not so close that you’re hearing them all night.
The apartment itself has that solid 4-star feel without trying too hard. I actually really appreciated how they’ve kept some of the original character – these old Warsaw buildings have thick walls and high ceilings that you just don’t get in newer places. The windows are proper double-glazed (trust me, this matters in Polish winters), and honestly, even with the central location, it’s surprisingly quiet once you’re inside. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that overly formal hotel lobby nonsense, just practical and efficient. The 8.6 rating makes sense when you experience it; it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works well and feels clean and comfortable. I mean, the kitchen setup is actually functional, which is rarer than it should be in apartment rentals.
What I really liked about staying here was how it positioned me in the city. You’re literally surrounded by layers of Warsaw history – the reconstructed medieval stuff, the 19th-century buildings that survived the war, and then these interesting Soviet-era contrasts just a few blocks away. But practically speaking, you can walk to most of the main sights, there’s a Żabka (that’s the local convenience store chain) right around the corner for late-night snack runs, and the restaurant scene on this stretch is actually pretty solid. I discovered this tiny pierogi place two doors down that I never would have found if I’d stayed in one of those big chain hotels near the central station. Parking can be a bit of a puzzle if you’re driving – the street parking is limited and you’ll probably want to ask about nearby options when you book. The building entrance is one of those classic Warsaw courtyard setups, so don’t expect a grand hotel-style lobby, but there’s something charming about walking through the archway into the quieter inner courtyard. During my stay in early fall, the whole area had this lovely lived-in feeling that made me feel less like a tourist and more like a temporary local, which honestly is exactly what I want when I’m exploring a city like Warsaw.
Hotels in Warsaw offer visitors the opportunity to stay in the heart of this resilient metropolis, with easy access to museums, theaters, and historical landmarks.

Jan was a very good host, place was clean and ready on time as per agreement. Both my wife and myself agree that for some reason (we don’t know why exactly), we had one of our best sleeps in that flat.

What could be improved: It was quite hot in apartment which is not very pleasant in summer months. Each room had only 1 small bedsheet despite there was 4 of us.Spacious 1 bedroom apartment with all you need for a visit to Warsaw – David from Australia – May 22, 2024 (9/10)
We enjoyed our stay. The hosts instructions made it easy to access the apartment. It was spacious, clean, had a good amount of inclusions for self catering, & quiet at night. The apartment is up one flight of stairs, in an older building. Had a modern bathroom & comfortable double bed. The location is next to the Warsaw Uprising monument, & easy walking to the main city sights.
What could be improved: Needs better curtains in the bedroom – light at 03.30 in the morningAll great! Thank you 🙂 – Iwona from United Kingdom – October 19, 2023 (9/10)
