The name had me expecting some grand lobby with a baby grand centerpiece, but honestly, it’s way more understated than that – and I mean that in the best possible way. This is one of those places that just gets the basics incredibly right without trying to be something it’s not.

The thing is, with a 9.2 rating, I was curious what made people so enthusiastic about what’s technically a 3-star spot. Well, after spending time there, I totally get it. It’s got this lived-in comfort that feels genuine – like staying at a friend’s well-appointed apartment rather than some sterile hotel room. The spaces actually feel like homes, which makes sense given the apartment-style setup. I found myself lingering over morning coffee instead of rushing out, and that’s not usually my style. The attention to detail is what really sells it though – I’m talking about things like having decent hangers in the closet (you’d be amazed how many places cheap out on this), blackout curtains that actually block light, and a bathroom setup that doesn’t make you play Tetris with your toiletries.

What I really appreciated was how quiet everything stayed, even when the building seemed pretty full. You know how thin walls can absolutely ruin a trip? Not an issue here. I could barely hear my neighbors, which meant I actually got solid sleep instead of lying there listening to someone’s TV until midnight. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too – no endless upselling or confusing key card explanations, just friendly efficiency. And honestly, the whole place has this calm, almost residential vibe that makes you feel less like a tourist and more like a temporary local. I mean, sure, it’s not going to wow you with marble lobbies or concierge services, but if you’re looking for a comfortable base that doesn’t drain your budget while still delivering on quality, this hits that sweet spot perfectly. Sometimes the best places are the ones that don’t try too hard – they just focus on making sure you sleep well, have space to spread out, and feel welcome. That’s exactly what Apartament Piano does.
