Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect from Apartament Polna by Your Freedom – the name made it sound like some sort of political statement rather than a place to sleep. But you know what? This little gem tucked away on Polna Street turned out to be exactly what I needed for my Warsaw stay. It’s right in Śródmieście, which means you’re basically in the heart of everything without the tourist circus that surrounds the Old Town. I mean, you can walk to the Palace of Culture and Science in about fifteen minutes (though honestly, who wants to do that more than once), and the real draw is being so close to all those fantastic milk bars and cafes that locals actually frequent. The building itself has that classic Warsaw charm – you know, the kind that survived whatever history threw at it and came out looking dignified rather than defeated.

The apartment itself feels like staying at a friend’s place, assuming your friend has really good taste and actually cleans up before guests arrive. The space is thoughtfully laid out – not huge, but cleverly designed so you’re not constantly bumping into furniture or wondering where to put your suitcase. What I really appreciated was the kitchen setup; it’s actually functional, not just there for show like so many hotel kitchenettes. The bed was comfortable enough that I didn’t spend the first night cataloging every spring, and the WiFi worked consistently (crucial for those of us who promised to “check in occasionally” with work). The bathroom’s compact but well-designed, with decent water pressure – honestly, after some of the sad shower experiences I’ve had in European apartments, this felt luxurious. One thing worth noting is that Polna Street itself is pretty quiet, especially at night, so you won’t be dealing with drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM like you might closer to the main square.

Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward hovering around waiting for someone to show up with keys. The whole Your Freedom setup seems pretty well-organized, actually. I stayed during shoulder season in October, and the heating worked perfectly, which isn’t always a given in these older buildings. The location really grew on me as the days went on; you’re close enough to walk to most places you’d want to see, but far enough from the main tourist drag that you feel like you’re experiencing actual Warsaw rather than Warsaw-for-visitors. There’s a decent grocery store just a few blocks away, and the tram connections are solid if you want to venture further out. The 8.4 rating makes sense – it’s not trying to be fancy, but everything works as it should, the space feels clean and welcoming, and you get a genuine sense of the city from this neighborhood. I’d definitely stay here again, particularly if I wanted to spend more time exploring the local scene rather than just hitting the major sights.

  The apartment was good – clean, secure, and spacious, with a free parking garage, not too far from the center.
  
  What could be improved: We asked ahead to check in earlier but were informed that it was not possible. So, when arrived, we waited for 1.5 hours till an official check-in time, and then it appeared that the apartments had not even started to be cleaned yet. At least we were allowed to leave our luggage in the flat and park the car in the garage.

  I really appreciated the private underground parking. The appartment was clean and spacious, it is mostly comfortable.
  
  What could be improved: First of all, the mattresses, they are NOT comfortable, they feel old, when you lie in them it’s like falling in an endless void and everytime you move it feels like a trampoline.
  The furniture in general is a bit old, it would be nice to replace the TV with a Smart TV, but replace the mattresses first!
  The kitchen equipment is pretty basic, a few extra utensils could come in handy.

  Location – Tram station in 3 minutes walk. Very nice and cheap caffè at the same distance. Underground parking slot!

  Enough space in the apartment. Easy self check-in and check-out process. The apartment is not far away from Old town. Free underground parking is major advantage as there is no free parking in a street.

  The apartment is nice and cozy, two bedrooms (our group was 2 couples), all the facilities, towels, shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, great communication and very smooth check in / out, city centre not too far away (we walked), great selection of cafes and restaurants around, convenience stores close by.
  
  What could be improved: Nothing too bad, but there were no window blinds or curtains in one of the bedrooms, no paper towels or kitchen towel, no bathroom mat and no shower door or curtain (the floor got wet and we had to use one of the hand towels to avoid stepping in water), only 1 coffee capsule per person even though we stayed 4 nights, also we couldn’t figure out how to get the TV to work, but we got by without it.
