You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Apartament Wieluńska when I first pulled up – I mean, it’s technically a 3-star place, and sometimes that can go either way. But honestly, this little gem completely caught me off guard in the best possible way. The moment I walked in, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about this place. It’s not fancy in that sterile hotel chain way, but it’s got character, you know? The apartment-style setup means you get way more space than your typical hotel room, and I’m talking about actual living space where you can spread out and not feel like you’re camping in a shoebox for the week.

What really sold me was the attention to detail – and I don’t mean the obvious stuff. I’m talking about things like having a proper coffee setup (not those sad little packets), decent water pressure in the shower, and windows that actually open if you want fresh air instead of being stuck with recycled AC all day. The kitchen area is surprisingly well-equipped too, which saved me a fortune since I could grab groceries and make breakfast instead of hunting down overpriced hotel food every morning. The beds are comfortable enough that I didn’t wake up feeling like I’d been wrestling with the mattress all night, and honestly, after staying in places where you can hear every footstep from three floors up, the sound insulation here was a pleasant surprise.

I’ll be straight with you – this isn’t the kind of place you’d book if you need a concierge or daily housekeeping, but that’s sort of the point. It feels more like borrowing a friend’s well-kept apartment than staying in a hotel, which I actually prefer when I’m trying to get a real feel for a place rather than being stuck in the tourist bubble. The 9.0 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there – it’s one of those spots where everything just works the way it should, without any drama or unpleasant surprises when you’re trying to settle in after a long travel day. Plus, and this might sound weird, but the whole place has this lived-in warmth that makes you feel welcome rather than like you’re just another booking number. If you’re looking for somewhere that gives you space to actually relax and doesn’t nickel-and-dime you for basic comfort, this is definitely worth considering.
