Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Wawer,” I wasn’t exactly thrilled. Most people think of it as just another Warsaw suburb, but you know what? Apartamenty Dobranoc completely changed my perspective on this neighborhood. The place sits on ul. Przyjaźni (which literally means “Friendship Street” – cute, right?), and it’s actually in this really peaceful residential area that feels worlds away from the tourist chaos in Old Town. I mean, you’re still technically in Warsaw, but there’s something almost village-like about walking these tree-lined streets in the evening. The apartments themselves are genuinely well-thought-out – not just thrown together like some of those cookie-cutter places you see everywhere. When I walked into my unit, the first thing I noticed was how much natural light floods in through these big windows, and honestly, the kitchen was better equipped than my own back home (which isn’t saying much, but still).

What really impressed me was how the owners actually seem to understand what travelers need. There’s proper storage space – I’m talking real closets, not just a sad little rail in the corner. The Wi-Fi actually works throughout the entire apartment, which you’d think would be standard in 2024, but trust me, it’s not always the case. Parking was surprisingly stress-free too, which anyone who’s driven in Warsaw will appreciate. The neighborhood itself has this authentic Polish residential vibe – you’ll hear kids playing in the courtyards, smell dinner cooking from nearby apartments, and there’s this little convenience store about two minutes away where the owner started recognizing me after the third day. It’s that kind of place.

Now, Wawer isn’t going to give you that “I’m in the heart of a European capital” feeling – you’ll need to hop on public transport to reach the main attractions, but honestly? After spending days wandering around Krakowskie Przedmieście and dealing with crowds at the Royal Castle, coming back to this quiet corner felt like a relief. The tram connections are actually pretty decent (the 9 line becomes your best friend), and there’s something to be said for experiencing Warsaw like locals do instead of being surrounded by tour groups 24/7. The rating of 9.3 makes total sense once you’ve stayed here – it’s not trying to be fancy or Instagram-perfect, but everything just works the way it should. The beds are comfortable, the shower has proper water pressure, and when you wake up in the morning, you’re looking out at regular Warsaw life happening around you. Sometimes that’s exactly what you want from a place to stay.

  All was perfekt. Due to family circumstances I had to change reservation dates and it was easy. The calm, clean place, comfortable inside, all things from the description on the place. The only thing I didn't mention when booked, that no elevator in the building. There is information in the description, but I missed it. So for older people with legs problems it was hard. But fo me, doesn't matter at all. I recommend this place for short and long accommodation.

  Small cosy apartment, with all equipment and also washing machine. Very quite place.
  
  What could be improved: Because of basement floor,you can't leave window open when you go out.and bugs(cockroaches?) may be?not sure but looked similar. But overall all was good.
