This place actually surprised me. The location on Świętojańska street is pretty much perfect if you want to be in the thick of Warsaw’s Old Town without dealing with the absolute chaos of the main tourist strips. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from Castle Square, but the street itself doesn’t get that overwhelming tourist bus traffic that makes some parts of the Old Town feel like a theme park. The building itself has that classic Warsaw charm – you know, the kind that survived the reconstruction after WWII and actually feels authentic rather than Disney-fied.

The apartments themselves are… well, they’re solid 3-star territory, which honestly works perfectly for what you’re paying. Nothing fancy, but everything you actually need is there and it’s clean. The kitchenettes are small but functional (I managed to make decent coffee and store some pierogi from the market), and the Wi-Fi actually works reliably – which, let’s be real, isn’t always a given in these older buildings. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re right in the center of everything. The windows are decent quality, so you don’t get that street noise that can drive you crazy in some city center places. Check-in was straightforward too, though I’d recommend confirming the exact process beforehand since it’s not a traditional hotel setup.

Here’s what really sold me on the place though – the neighborhood feel. You’ve got that little bakery just around the corner on Piwna street where locals actually go (not just tourists), and you’re close enough to walk to Krakowskie Przedmieście for dinner without it being a trek. During the day, you can hear the church bells from St. John’s Cathedral, which sounds touristy but is actually kind of nice when you’re having morning coffee. The 7.9 rating makes sense to me – it’s not luxury, but it delivers exactly what it promises. I stayed there in late spring and the area was lively but not overwhelming, though I imagine summers get pretty packed with tourists. One small thing – the stairs can be a bit steep if you’re on an upper floor and have heavy luggage, but that’s pretty typical for these historic buildings. Overall, if you want to stay somewhere that feels like you’re actually living in Warsaw for a few days rather than just visiting, this place hits that sweet spot between location, price, and authenticity.
