You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Apartamenty-Mi Plac Zamkowy when I first booked it – honestly, the name’s a bit of a mouthful and I couldn’t even find a proper address listed anywhere. But man, was I wrong to judge. This place sits right on Castle Square (that’s what Plac Zamkowy means, by the way), and I mean RIGHT there. You step outside and boom – you’re staring at the Royal Castle and those gorgeous colorful townhouses that everyone’s taking photos of. It’s one of those locations where you feel like you accidentally stumbled into the postcard.

The apartments themselves are actually really well thought out, which surprised me for a 3-star place. I mean, don’t expect marble bathrooms or anything fancy, but everything works and it’s clean as a whistle. The kitchen had everything I needed to make coffee in the morning – and trust me, you’ll want that coffee because you’ll probably stay up late just wandering around the Old Town (it’s literally at your doorstep). What I loved most was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re in the heart of everything. The square empties out after the tour groups leave, and there’s something magical about having Warsaw’s most famous square practically to yourself. The windows are pretty decent at keeping street noise out too, though you might catch some early morning delivery trucks if you’re a super light sleeper.

Here’s the thing that really sold me on this place – the staff actually knows the neighborhood. When I asked about where to grab dinner that wasn’t touristy, they didn’t just hand me a generic list. They told me about this tiny pierogi place tucked away on Świętojańska street that I never would’ve found otherwise. And parking? Well, it’s tricky around here (welcome to Old Town), but they’ll point you toward the underground garage that’s about a five-minute walk. Worth every złoty though, because you’re staying in the absolute center of Warsaw’s most beautiful area. The 9.1 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not luxury, but it nails everything that actually matters when you’re exploring a city. Plus, you can walk to the Vistula riverbank in about ten minutes, which is perfect for morning jogs or evening strolls when the castle lights up.
