But actually, this spot surprised me in the best way possible. It’s tucked right on Jana Kazimierza street in Wola, which – if you don’t know Warsaw well – is this sort of up-and-coming district that’s got character without being touristy. You’re basically a quick tram ride from the Old Town (the 22 line stops practically at your doorstep), but you get to stay where actual Varsovians live and work. The building itself has that solid Eastern European feel, you know what I mean? Thick walls, high ceilings, the kind of place that stays cool in summer and actually keeps the heat in during those brutal Warsaw winters.

The apartment itself is… well, it’s exactly what you’d want if you’re tired of tiny hotel rooms with paper-thin walls. I mean, you’ve got proper space to spread out, a kitchen that’s actually functional (not just a mini-fridge and a sad coffee maker), and honestly, the bed was way more comfortable than I expected from a 3-star place. The rating of 8.3 makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not fancy, but everything works and it’s clean and the WiFi doesn’t cut out every five minutes like some places I could mention. What really sold me was how quiet it gets at night, which is pretty impressive considering you’re in a major city. The windows face away from the main traffic, so you don’t get the constant hum of cars that usually keeps me up in urban spots.

Here’s the thing about staying in Wola that the guidebooks don’t really tell you – you’re positioned perfectly to explore Warsaw like someone who actually lives there. There’s this great little market on Wolska street where you can grab fresh bread and decent coffee for basically nothing, and if you walk about ten minutes toward the Vistula, you hit these green spaces that most tourists never see. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward too (they actually answered their phone when I called, which seems rare these days), and parking… well, it’s Warsaw, so street parking is what it is, but at least you’re not paying hotel garage prices. I stayed there during shoulder season in October, and the whole neighborhood had this lived-in energy – kids walking to school, people heading to work, that authentic city rhythm you miss when you’re stuck in the tourist bubble. Would I stay again? Absolutely, especially if I wanted to feel less like a visitor and more like a temporary local.

  What could be improved: Отсутствие кондиционера. Подушки сбились в бесформенную массу, требуют замену. Для 10-ти дневного пребывания маловато посуды и мал холодильник.Неисправна кухонная плита – требует ремонта, о чем я известил представителя компании сразу по прибытию, но портативную плитку на замену привезли лишь на третий день. Батарея отопления на кухне не работает.

  What could be improved: Podejście do klienta, zostaliśmy oszukani, zamówiliśmy pakiet soft love za 220, musieliśmy kilka godzin walczyć o ten pakiet, na bookingu zamówić pakiet i zapłacić spoko fajnie, ale po zapłacie nagle otrzymuje wiadomości że nie ma takiej opcji jak pakiet soft love, dostaliśmy go dopiero następnego dnia, też po ustaleniu godziny na 13:00 musieliśmy dalej dzwonić i prosić, aż w końcu wysłali jakąś biedną panią do sklepu żeby kupić ten pakiet, otrzymaliśmy dopiero o 14:00. Zmarnowany weekend i nerwy i nerwy, nigdy więcej

  What could be improved: В апартаментах был неприятный запах. Слив в раковине ванной комнаты работал очень плохо. На кухне установлена индукционная плита, но посуда ей не соответствует — из-за этого плита постоянно отключалась. Вытяжки нет, хотя имеется наклейка с напоминанием о её включении. Подсветки над плитой тоже нет, готовить неудобно. Замки на внутренних дверях сломаны. Холодильник сильно шумит и гремит. Также смутила странная конструкция входной двери — глазок пробит, чтобы установить сейф для ключа, хотя гораздо удобнее и безопаснее было бы использовать электронный замок с кодом.
