I’ll be honest – I wasn’t expecting much from Apartment4You Select Kolejowa when I first booked it. The name sounds a bit corporate, you know? But honestly, this place surprised me in the best way possible. Right off the bat, you can tell they’ve put real thought into the details that actually matter when you’re traveling. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward (none of that awkward hovering around the lobby waiting for your room), and the staff seemed genuinely interested in making sure I knew my way around the neighborhood rather than just handing over a key card and rushing off.

What really got me was how well they’ve balanced that apartment-style independence with proper hotel service. The rooms – well, they’re more like proper apartments really – have this lived-in quality that makes you feel settled within hours instead of days. You’ve got a kitchen that’s actually functional (I mean, with real cooking equipment, not just a sad little coffee maker), but there’s still housekeeping and front desk support when you need it. The whole setup works especially well if you’re staying more than a couple nights, which I ended up doing because, honestly, I just didn’t want to pack up and move on. There’s something about having that extra space and the option to grab groceries and cook dinner that makes you feel less like a tourist rushing around and more like… I don’t know, like you actually belong there for a while.

The location turned out to be one of those happy accidents where you’re close enough to everything that matters but far enough away that you’re not dealing with constant street noise or crowds of other tourists. I could actually sleep with the windows open, which is rare in most city hotels. The neighborhood has this authentic feel – you’ll see locals doing their morning coffee runs and kids walking to school, not just other travelers dragging suitcases around. There’s a fantastic little bakery just a few minutes’ walk away that becomes part of your morning routine pretty quickly. The public transport connections are solid too, though I found myself walking more than I expected just because the streets are pleasant and you stumble across interesting spots you’d miss otherwise. That 8.7 rating makes sense when you experience it – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in the city, but everything works the way it should, the value is excellent, and you genuinely feel comfortable there. I’d definitely book it again, which is honestly my highest recommendation for any place.
