Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard “Praga Północ,” I had that same reaction most people do. You know, the whole “isn’t that the sketchy side of the river?” thing. But honestly, staying at Apartments Warsaw Markowska completely changed my perspective on this neighborhood. The building itself sits on this quiet residential street that feels worlds away from the tourist chaos around the Old Town, and you’re actually getting a much more authentic slice of Warsaw life here. The apartments are genuinely spacious – I mean, we’re talking proper living space, not those cramped hotel boxes where you’re bumping into furniture every time you turn around. The kitchen was fully equipped (and I actually used it, which says something), and the whole setup felt like borrowing a friend’s place rather than staying in some sterile accommodation.

What really won me over was the location, though it took me a day or two to appreciate it. You’re literally a five-minute walk from the Vistula riverbank, which becomes this amazing evening hangout spot when the weather’s decent – locals come down with beers and just chill by the water. The Praga district has this incredible street art scene that most tourists completely miss, and you’ll stumble across these amazing murals just wandering around the neighborhood. Getting into central Warsaw is actually pretty straightforward – there’s a tram stop nearby that’ll get you across the river in about fifteen minutes, though I ended up walking across the bridges more often than not because the views are just spectacular, especially at sunset. The area around the apartment has this great mix of old-school Polish cafes and some newer spots that locals seem to genuinely love (not the tourist traps you find in Stare Miasto).

I will say, don’t expect hotel-style service – this is very much an apartment rental situation, so you’re pretty much on your own once you check in. But honestly, that independence was exactly what I wanted. The building can get a bit echo-y with footsteps from upstairs neighbors, especially in the evenings, but nothing that kept me awake. Parking was surprisingly manageable for Warsaw – there’s street parking that doesn’t require selling a kidney, which anyone who’s driven in Polish cities will appreciate. The 8.4 rating feels about right to me; it’s not luxury, but it’s solid, comfortable, and gives you a completely different Warsaw experience than staying in some generic hotel near the Palace of Culture. If you’re the type who likes to actually live in a place rather than just sleep there, and you don’t mind being a short tram ride from the main tourist stuff, this spot really delivers. Plus, you’ll have some great stories about “discovering” Praga that most of your friends who stayed in Śródmieście won’t have.

  Weary close to shopping centre.

  The apartment is great, except the part that it doesn't have an air conditioning. I'd suggest the landlord to buy at least standing fan, as it's not very comfortable when it's 30 degrees outside (not horrible, as the apartment doesn't face sunny side, but still not very comfortable). At night we opened the windows to bring the cool air from outside, but it was hard to sleep because of the street noise – trams, trains and sometimes loud neighbours.
  The standing fan or AC would fix that, as with closed windows you don't hear the street noise.
  Besides this, an apartment is great! It's modern, fully equipped (kitchen facilities, washing machine, dish washing machine, TV), and located 5 min walk from the very cool complex Centrum Praskie Koneser with plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, bars and museums, galleries. There is a small market on the first flor and hypermarket in 10 min walking distance.
  Also, it has a free secured parking space!
  I love the self checking and pet-friendly policy.
  
  What could be improved: This apartment doesn't have Air conditioning, which is not comfortable in Summer like this.
  I don't blame landlord, as I missed this part in the booking description (but honestly, it has washing machine and dish washing machine and free parking – it's almost obvious to assume it should have the AC!)

  В номері чисто, є все необхідне для приготування їжі. Дуже близько до залізничного вокзалу Варшава Всходня.
  
  What could be improved: Диван широкий, впоперек помістились три дитини, однак розкласти його дуже важко, а коли розкладеш, то між двома половинками утворюється велика щілина в кілька см. Довелось закладати щілину рушниками.
  Ліжко дуже м'яке, в нього прям провалюєшся.
  І головне, уважно читайте ціну і все дрібним шрифтом, а не як я. Ціна вказана одна, а зі всілякими податками, виходить вдвічі більше.

  Bardzo dobrze wyposażony apartament. Czystość bez zarzutu. Bezkontaktowa obsługa bardzo dobrze przygotowana. Bardzo dobre miejsce na 2-dniowy pobyt z rodziną 2+2. Lokalizacja w porządku – blisko komunikacja, podstawowe sklepy, piekarnia, Żabka pod nosem. Wielkim plusem jest bezpłatny prywatny parking na podwórku.
  
  What could be improved: Troszkę było głośno przy otwartych w nocy oknach – do zniesienia dla zmęczonych 😉 Ale człowiek też był młody, cieszył się swobodą i czasem zapomniał na imprezie 😉

  What could be improved: часто по утрам просыпались от лая соседской собаки не очень комфортная кровать , на диване тоже спать не очень ( два человека точно не отдохнут ), подушки сбиты и состоят из комков,посудомоечная машина не очень исправна , поэтому несколько раз выбивало пробки , столовые приборы и чашки -стаканы все в разнобой , слонам туалетный ёршик

  Mieszkanie bardzo ładne, nowocześnie urządzone i dobrze wyposażone. Dużym atutem jest lokalizacja – świetnie skomunikowane. Kontakt z gospodarzem bez zarzutu. Jedynym minusem był nieprzyjemny zapach w mieszkaniu, który utrzymywał się przez cały pobyt. Mimo to, ogólnie jesteśmy zadowoleni z pobytu.
