But this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked into the Powiśle district, which if you’re not familiar with Warsaw, is this really cool riverside area that’s become sort of the creative heart of the city. You’re literally a stone’s throw from the Vistula riverbank, and I’d catch myself just walking down to the water after dinner because the views are honestly pretty spectacular, especially when the sun’s setting behind the city skyline.

The hotel itself has this modern vibe that doesn’t feel sterile – which is harder to pull off than you’d think. The lobby’s got these warm wood accents and the staff actually remembers your name after the first day, which I appreciate more than fancy marble or whatever. My room was on the seventh floor and the soundproofing was solid (important because Warsaw can get lively, especially on weekends). The bathroom had one of those rainfall showerheads that actually works properly – you know the ones I’m talking about, where half the time they just drizzle sadly? Not here. What really got me though was the attention to small stuff: the bedside outlets were positioned where you’d actually use them, the curtains blocked out light completely, and there was enough desk space to spread out my laptop without playing furniture Tetris.

The neighborhood’s the real winner here – you’re walking distance to the University Library with its rooftop garden (definitely worth a visit), and the whole area’s packed with these little cafes and bars that locals actually go to. I found this tiny pierogi place called Zapiecek just around the corner that became my breakfast spot by day three. The hotel’s restaurant is decent too, though I’d honestly recommend exploring the neighborhood instead – there’s so much good food within a few blocks. One thing to note: if you’re driving, parking can be a bit of a puzzle in this area, but the hotel sorts that out for you. The 8.9 rating makes total sense once you’re there – it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in Warsaw, but everything just works the way it should, and sometimes that’s exactly what you want after a long day of sightseeing or meetings.
