Overview
You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first saw this place listed as “Beautiful and charming apartment” – I mean, every rental says that, right? But walking up to Mostowa 23/25, tucked right in the heart of Warsaw’s Old Town, I actually got it. The building has that worn-in European charm where you can tell it’s seen some history, and stepping inside the apartment itself… well, it’s not going to blow you away with luxury, but there’s something genuinely cozy about it. The windows face the cobblestone streets, so you get those morning sounds of delivery trucks rumbling over stones and early commuters clicking past in heels – honestly, it’s part of the charm once you get used to it. The space feels lived-in rather than sterile, which I appreciated after staying in too many cookie-cutter hotels. Sure, the Wi-Fi can be a bit spotty (especially if you’re trying to video call back home), and the shower pressure is… let’s call it “European,” but for a 3-star spot with a 7.8 rating, you’re getting solid value.
What really sold me on this place though was the location – and I don’t just mean “convenient to everything” (though it is). You’re literally a two-minute walk from Castle Square, but here’s the thing locals know: if you head down Mostowa toward the river instead of toward the tourist crush, you’ll find this little bakery that opens at 6 AM with the best zapiekanka I had in Warsaw. The apartment puts you right in that sweet spot where you can stumble home from the bars on Freta Street without paying for a taxi, but you’re also close enough to the Vistula that morning jogs along the riverbank become part of your routine. Parking is honestly a nightmare in this area – I’d recommend just using public transport or walking everywhere, which is totally doable. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward; the owner actually met me at the building (no fumbling with lockboxes), and she gave me these insider tips about which grocery store has the best prices and when the nearby church bells are loudest. One heads up though – if you’re here during summer weekends, the Old Town gets absolutely packed with tourists, so those charming cobblestone streets can feel more like a slow-moving parade. But honestly? Even with the crowds and the occasional noise from late-night revelers, there’s something magical about falling asleep in a place where you can practically feel centuries of history in the walls.

Very Good
Good location at the foot of the city walls, only steps away from bars, shops and the old city center. The rooms were spacious with some pieces of nice furniture.
What could be improved: The apartment was a bit messy (also the kitchen equipment). The cleanliness especially of the bathroom was doubtful.
Very Good
What could be improved: Shower
Comfortable
Location
What could be improved: Shower not user friendly. More effort on the cleaning side would be good.
Excellent location, but don't expect five stars standard
The location is simply fantastic, 150 meters from the old town gate. Shops, restaurants and churches right at the doorstep. Parking is an issue, but down the hill, at the doorway of the Stara Prochownia Teatr, you'll find a few spaces that could be parked free and ticketless. At least we did for two days without trouble.
What could be improved: The apartment and the hallway have seen better days. The kitchen and bathroom are clearly up for refurbishment, and the furniture should all be exchanged at some point soon to live up to the EXCELLENT location of the premises.
Wonderful
Location and large comfortable rooms
What could be improved: Parking
Nice stay
Amazing location right next to the old city walls. The apartment was very spacious with comfortable beds.
What could be improved: Could have been cleaned better
Great location
Good sized space with good kitchen/dining facilities and bathroom. Great location for exploring the Old Town and good access to public transport to explore Warsaw. Despite being close to bars and restaurants, the accommodation was quiet. Although the Booking.com info suggests there's a children's cot, there wasn't one on arrival, but Monika quickly ordered one for us with no fuss!
What could be improved: Nothing in particular springs to mind.
