You know what? I’ve stayed in a lot of places around Warsaw, and this apartment on Widok Street really surprised me. I mean, when you’re right in Śródmieście – literally the dead center of everything – you usually expect to sacrifice either space or peace, but somehow this place manages both. The balcony is what sold me, honestly. It’s not huge, but there’s something about having your morning coffee while watching Warsaw wake up that just hits different. The street itself is pretty quiet for being so central, though you’ll definitely hear some trams rumbling by (which I actually found kind of charming after a day or two).

The location is honestly ridiculous – and I mean that in the best way. You’re maybe a three-minute walk from the Palace of Culture, which sounds touristy but actually means you’re connected to literally everything. The metro station is right there, and if you’re into the whole Old Town thing, it’s an easy stroll across the bridge. What I really loved though was being so close to all the good coffee spots on Nowy Świat – there’s this little place called Coffee Karma that locals actually go to, not just tourists with their phones out. The apartment itself feels way more spacious than most city center places I’ve been in. The balcony faces sort of southeast, so you get decent morning light without the afternoon heat making it unbearable in summer.

Parking was actually easier than I expected – there’s paid street parking that’s not too crazy expensive, and the host gave me some insider tips about where to find spots (apparently Tuesday mornings are golden, who knew?). The building is one of those pre-war ones that somehow survived everything, so it’s got character without feeling run-down. Check-in was smooth, though I’d recommend coordinating arrival times since it’s not a hotel with 24/7 reception. The wifi actually works well, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to navigate a new city or get work done. I stayed during late spring and the whole area was buzzing but not overwhelming – I imagine summer gets pretty intense with tourists, but that’s true for anywhere in central Warsaw. One tiny thing: the shower pressure could be better, but honestly, after walking around the city all day, you’re just happy to have hot water. The 9.4 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not perfect, but it nails the things that actually matter when you’re exploring a city like Warsaw.

  Everything looks newly renovated. Super clean and modern. Fully equipped open kitchen with large fridge, large flat screen tv and separate comfortable bedroom. Lots of storage space. Very nice bathroom and shower. Secure but easy entry.

  The location and facilities inside the apartment were perfect
  
  What could be improved: There was no cooling or heating system in the bedroom, and to cool the room, we had to turn on the internal cooling system and leave the bedroom door open to cool it down.

  The apartment looked nice, and all the necessities were available.
  Very central, but as a result also a lot of noise.
  
  What could be improved: Two days before I arrived I asked if it was possible to check in an hour early, but didn’t get a reply. Upon arrival I had to wait almost 90 minutes to get in to the apartment, because they forgot to send me check-in instructions, and nobody answered when I called Noclegi Renters.
  The beds had a lot of hair in them, so it seemed like the bedsheets hadn’t been changed.
  There’s a huge roundabout close to the apartment, and there were ambulance sirens making loud noise several times a day, and sometimes in the night.
  Difficult to relax in the apartment, and extremely poor customer service.
