You know what surprised me most about Bella Luna? It’s tucked right into this gorgeous historic square, and honestly, from the outside you’d almost walk past it thinking it’s just another old building. But step inside and – wow – they’ve done something really special with the space. The lobby has this perfect mix of old-world charm with these sleek, modern touches that don’t feel forced or trying too hard.

I mean, it’s technically a 3-star place, but the suites feel way more luxurious than that rating suggests. The rooms are actually spacious (and I’m picky about space after staying in too many cramped European hotels), with these beautiful high ceilings that make everything feel airy. The kitchenettes are fully equipped too – not just the usual mini-fridge situation. I ended up cooking breakfast a couple mornings because there’s this little market just around the corner where locals shop, and it felt nice to have that option. The beds are seriously comfortable, and here’s a detail that matters: the blackout curtains actually work. You’d be amazed how many “luxury” places mess that up.

What really sold me on this place was the location and how the staff treated it. They clearly know the neighborhood inside and out – not just the tourist stuff, but where to grab the best coffee at 7am or which streets get crazy busy during rush hour. The square itself is this beautiful, peaceful spot that feels completely separate from the main tourist chaos, but you’re still walking distance to everything important. Parking was easier than I expected too, which anyone who’s driven in a historic city center will appreciate. The whole area gets this lovely golden light in the late afternoon, and you can sit by the window with a glass of wine and just watch the locals go about their evening routines. There’s something really authentic about staying here – like you’re living in the neighborhood rather than just passing through it. The 9.4 rating makes total sense once you experience it; it’s one of those places that exceeds expectations in all the ways that actually matter when you’re traveling.

  This lovely little apartment was right on the old Square yet was totally quiet warm and comfortable. It had everything you need including a tiny dishwasher washing machine very super new shower. We were delighted to stay there and would love to stay again!

  Incredible location, we literally rolled out of bed and were on the ice rink. The bed was so comfy too, firmly bed and I loved the wide bed.

  The apart-hotel was beautifully decorated and perfectly equipped. Wonderful location, very quiet and secure. We enjoyed our stay very much. FYI, our room is the 4th floor with no elevators, so light luggage was helpful. But we managed fine and got our exercise. Perfect Old Town location.
