You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first saw the address – Bielańska 4/9 looked pretty unassuming from the street. But this apartment turned out to be one of those hidden gems that makes you feel like you’ve discovered something special in Warsaw’s Old Town area. The building itself has that classic pre-war character (you’ll hear your footsteps echo a bit in the stairwell), but once you’re inside the actual apartment, it’s been thoughtfully updated without losing its charm. The location is actually perfect if you want to be in the thick of things – I mean, you’re literally a few minutes’ walk from Castle Square, and there’s this great little café on the corner of Bielańska and Długa that locals seem to love. I grabbed coffee there most mornings and watched the city wake up.

What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being so central. Sure, you’ll hear some street noise during the day – it’s the city center after all – but evenings are surprisingly peaceful. The apartment itself feels more spacious than you’d expect, and whoever set it up clearly thinks about what travelers actually need. There’s proper counter space in the kitchen (not just a tiny corner), decent water pressure in the shower, and – this might sound silly but it matters – really good blackout curtains. I slept better here than I have in some five-star hotels, honestly. The WiFi was solid too, which saved me when I had to jump on a work call one afternoon.

Getting around from here is ridiculously easy – the Old Town is right there, obviously, but you’re also close enough to walk to the Royal Route when you want to head south toward Łazienki Park. I found myself using the apartment as a perfect base camp, ducking back between sightseeing to grab a snack or rest my feet. The neighborhood has that lived-in feel where you see the same dog walker every morning and the same elderly gentleman reading his paper at the corner bench. There’s a small grocery store about two blocks away on Freta Street that stays open late, which was clutch when I realized I’d forgotten to pack phone chargers. Check-in was smooth – no standing around in a lobby, just clear instructions and everything worked exactly as promised. For the price point and that 8.7 rating, I get it completely. It’s not trying to be fancy, it’s just trying to be really, really good at being a comfortable place to stay in an amazing location. And honestly? Mission accomplished.
