Hotel Description
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much when I first walked into the Black Pearl – I mean, the name sounds a bit dramatic, right? But this place completely caught me off guard. You know what hits you first? The sheer size of it. 130 square meters is no joke, and they actually use every bit of that space intelligently. The living area flows into this gorgeous dining space, and then there’s a proper bedroom that doesn’t feel like an afterthought. But here’s the thing that really got me – those floor-to-ceiling windows facing the city. I spent way too much time just standing there with my morning coffee, watching Warsaw wake up below. The view stretches all the way to the Palace of Culture and Science, and if you’re there during sunset, well… let’s just say I took about fifty photos and none of them did it justice.
The location on Grzybowska is actually pretty brilliant, though it took me a day to figure out why. You’re right in Wola, which honestly used to be this industrial wasteland but now it’s where all the cool stuff is happening. There’s this fantastic food hall called Hala Koszyki just a few minutes’ walk away – I probably ate there three times during my stay because, I mean, why cook when you have that kind of variety? And here’s something the booking sites don’t tell you: you’re literally surrounded by some of Warsaw’s best restaurants. That little Georgian place around the corner? Incredible. The building itself is one of those sleek new developments, so everything feels fresh and modern, but not in that sterile way that makes you feel like you’re living in a showroom.
What really sold me on this place though – and I’m being completely honest here – is how it actually feels like a home, not a hotel room that’s trying too hard. The kitchen has proper equipment (I actually cooked dinner one night), there’s enough closet space that I could unpack everything, and the bathroom has one of those rainfall showers that I’m now convinced I need in my actual apartment. The 14th floor thing is no joke either; you’re high enough that the street noise completely disappears, which in Warsaw is actually a big deal. I was there during a pretty busy week in autumn, and my friends staying in other parts of the city were complaining about construction noise and trams, while I’m up there in complete peace. The building’s got this modern elevator system that doesn’t make you wait forever, and parking – if you need it – is sorted in the underground garage. Look, I’ve stayed in a lot of places with inflated ratings, but that 9.6 score? It’s legit. This isn’t just about having a nice place to sleep; it’s about having a proper base in one of Europe’s most underrated cities.
Exploring Warsaw offers visitors an unforgettable journey through Poland’s resilient capital, from its meticulously reconstructed Old Town to its modern skyline and rich cultural heritage.

What could be improved: Chyba zbliża się czas na wymianę materacy w łóżkach. Dobrze by było gdyby sypialnia posiadała standardowe drzwi.Exceptional – Dorota from Poland – June 8, 2025 (10/10)
