Look, I’ll be honest with you – when I first heard “Bluszczańska Modern Urban Apartment,” I was expecting some generic corporate housing situation. But this place actually surprised me in a good way. It’s tucked away on this quiet residential street in Mokotów, which honestly is one of those neighborhoods that feels more like where actual Varsovians live rather than tourist central. You know what I mean? The building itself is pretty typical for this part of Warsaw – nothing fancy from the outside, but that’s sort of the charm. Inside though, they’ve done a decent job with the modern touches without going overboard. The apartment I stayed in had this clean, minimalist vibe that actually worked – white walls, decent lighting, and thank god, proper blackout curtains (you’ll appreciate this if you’re dealing with jet lag).

What really sold me on this place was the neighborhood itself. Mokotów is having this moment right now where it’s got great cafes and restaurants but hasn’t been completely overrun yet. There’s this fantastic little bakery about two blocks down that locals queue up at every morning – I mean, if you see Polish grandmothers waiting in line somewhere, you know it’s legit. The metro connection isn’t terrible either; you can get to the Old Town in maybe 20 minutes if you time it right, though honestly the trams are more reliable during rush hour. Parking was… well, it’s Warsaw, so street parking is always an adventure, but the area isn’t as crazy as Śródmieście. I managed to find spots within a block most days.

The apartment itself hits that sweet spot of being comfortable without trying too hard. Kitchen’s actually functional – I made coffee every morning and even attempted some basic meals. Wi-fi worked fine for video calls (tested extensively, unfortunately), and the shower had proper water pressure, which you can’t always count on in older Warsaw buildings. Is it luxury? Definitely not. But it’s clean, quiet at night, and the heating worked perfectly even during that cold snap in February. My only real complaint is that the walls are a bit thin – I could hear my upstairs neighbor’s morning routine pretty clearly, but nothing that kept me awake. For a 3-star place with a 7.6 rating, it delivers exactly what you’d expect. Sometimes that’s all you need, especially when you’re spending most of your time exploring the city anyway. Plus, being in a real residential area meant I got to see how Warsaw actually works day-to-day, not just the tourist version of it.

  The place is large enough, in a recent building, there are many many drawers and cupboards and actually the furniture is of a very good quality. There is a parking space in the underground that is large enough for most cars. There is a small garden that leads into a large common space inside the condominium with a children's playground which we found to be very good
  
  What could be improved: Breakfast was bad, tasteless and in too small amounts (they deliver to your door, one day you get pastries and jam, the other day ham ans cheese; you have neither the choice nor the ability to demand extras); avoid their breakfast, really. The room smelled funny, there was no AC and the weather was super hot. There were countless bug and roaches and the occasional spider. The bathroom smelled bad and the washing machine was infested with mildew, our clothes did not smell they way they should after a wash. They did not provide enough toilet paper

  What could be improved: Beware! If you like to be harassed and overcharged, rent this place. Otherwise, stay away. The apartment itself is run down with dirty furniture and stained walls. After I reserved it, they sent me at least 20 messages demanding 100 euro deposit, and duplicating the same check-in and general info 3 to 4 times each. Even after I paid the deposit, they kept sending the demands to pay. They explained it as "automated messages I should ignore". Once l left, they conveniently forgot to return the deposit. Once questioned, they promised to "return it within 30 days". A week later they returned about half hoping I'll let it go. Responding to my questions, they created some bogus story (2 weeks after I left) about some damage to the refrigerator door that "their cleaning team found" and they supposedly fixed for 40 euro. They never mentioned or contacted me about that before, and it was no damage whatsoever. It's just a way to steal from guests. So, take your chances if you'd like to deal with all these issues.

  What could be improved: I was shocked by the condition of this apartment. It was not as advertised—filthy upon arrival, with visible animal hair and mold in the coffee machine. To make matters worse, a broken kitchen cabinet above the sink posed a safety hazard. I had to leave immediately and find a last-minute alternative, incurring extra expenses and inconvenience. The host ignored my concerns regarding compensation and safety issues, offering only an additional cleaning which didn’t address the underlying problems. Overall, a deeply disappointing and stressful experience. I cannot recommend this property at all.
