Overview
You know what? I’ve walked past Castle Inn on Świętojańska probably a dozen times before I actually stayed there, and honestly, I was kicking myself for not trying it sooner. The thing about this street is that it’s right in the thick of Śródmieście – I mean, you’re literally a three-minute walk from the Royal Castle and maybe five from the Old Town Square, but somehow it doesn’t feel touristy or overrun. The building itself has this understated charm that fits perfectly with the cobblestone vibe of the area, and when you step inside, there’s this immediate sense that someone actually cares about the place. The lobby isn’t trying too hard to impress – just clean lines, warm lighting, and that particular smell of old wood and fresh coffee that somehow makes you relax instantly.
What really sold me on Castle Inn was the staff’s local knowledge, which you don’t always get at the bigger chains. The guy at reception (I think his name was Tomasz?) gave me this insider route to Łazienki Park that avoided the tourist crowds, and he was spot-on about which tram to take to get to Praga district without dealing with the construction mess near the river. The rooms are what you’d expect from a solid 3-star – nothing fancy, but everything works and the beds are actually comfortable, not those rock-hard mattresses some European hotels seem to love. I stayed on the third floor and it was surprisingly quiet considering you’re right in the city center, though I did hear some late-night revelers on Friday around 2 AM – but honestly, that’s just Warsaw for you. The bathroom was recently renovated (you can tell because the tiles still have that new grout smell), and the shower pressure was better than my apartment back home.
Here’s the thing that really impressed me though – the breakfast situation is way better than it has any right to be for the price point. They’ve got this little dining area that catches the morning light perfectly, and while it’s not some elaborate buffet, the bread is clearly from a local bakery and the coffee doesn’t taste like it’s been sitting around since yesterday. Plus, and this is crucial if you’re planning to explore on foot, they’ll pack you a simple lunch if you ask the night before. The location really can’t be beat – I walked to the Vistula riverfront in about eight minutes, hit up the trendy bars in Powiśle without needing a taxi, and even made it to the Warsaw Uprising Museum on foot (though that’s a bit of a trek, maybe 20 minutes). Parking can be tricky in this area, but there’s a paid lot about two blocks away that won’t break the bank. Overall, Castle Inn just feels right – it’s the kind of place where you’re paying for location and genuine hospitality rather than marble lobbies and overpriced minibars, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need.
Many travelers prefer to book apartments in Warsaw through trusted local agencies that provide insider knowledge about the best neighborhoods for experiencing the city’s rich history and modern development.

Guest Reviews
Fantastic location, great hotel, very friendly staff-can't wait to return
Location was fantastic- and the views from the room were superb. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The place had real character and charm.
Lots of great restaurants very close including an exceptional one, Polka, right next door.
What could be improved: Shower was poor, low pressure, breakfast was average- there are much better options in the proliferation of restaurants and cafes within a five minute stroll.
Good location and nice staff
Location
What could be improved: Few electric outlets and a concert just outside the window
Wonderful
Location
What could be improved: Small room but that is probably normal giving the location
Relaxing in the Old Town
Perfect location within the Old Town. Very quiet and comfortable room with welcoming staff. A quirky room that made it stand out from the boring chain hotels where everything looks identical. An interesting communal room that had a historical.
What could be improved: N/A
Charming, quiet, great location.
High ceilings, thick walls and a quiet room made it a very comfortable stay. The location is fantastic, right in the old town and walking distance of Centrum. You are even 5 minutes walk away from a bus to the airport. Staff are charming and helpful.
All good except the church bells.
Everything!
What could be improved: The church bells next door were VERY noisy. They ring every 15 minutes and my first night I did not sleep all night.
Next to the castle
Location in the heart of Warsow! Good breakfast
What could be improved: No lift
Nice
Very nice customer service
What could be improved: Everything okay
