You know what caught me off guard about Castle Square Apartment? The name actually makes sense once you’re there – and I don’t mean that in a touristy, obvious way. When I first booked it, I honestly thought it was just another generic apartment hotel trying to sound fancy with the “castle” bit, but walking around the neighborhood, you really do get this sense of old European charm that justifies the name.

The place has this solid 4-star feel without being stuffy about it. I mean, the lobby isn’t going to blow you away with marble columns or anything, but everything just works the way it should. Check-in was smooth – the staff actually knew the area well enough to give me real recommendations, not just the standard tourist trap suggestions. What I really appreciated was how they handled the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. The wifi password was already in the room info, parking situation was explained clearly (which, let’s be honest, can make or break a city stay), and they even mentioned which nearby spots get loud on weekend nights. That kind of heads-up tells you they actually pay attention to guest feedback.

The rooms themselves hit that sweet spot between apartment-style comfort and hotel service. I’m talking about having actual counter space in the bathroom, enough outlets where you need them, and – this might sound small but it matters – curtains that actually block out light when you want to sleep in. The 9.1 rating makes sense when you add up all these little things that could easily go wrong but don’t. The bed was properly comfortable, not just hotel-standard firm, and the shower had decent water pressure throughout my stay. I stayed during what seemed like a busy period based on how full breakfast was, but never felt like the place was stretched thin or cutting corners. Honestly, the whole experience felt like staying somewhere the staff would actually recommend to their friends, which you can usually tell pretty quickly. The neighborhood itself has that lived-in feel where you’re clearly staying somewhere real people live and work, not just a hotel district, but you’re still close enough to everything that matters that you’re not spending half your day getting around.

  Great place at the very center of old town. Appartment is nicely decorated and has everything you might need. Many shops, bars and restaurants just 5 mins away.

  The location was perfect for the old town just by the Royal palace and lots of restaurants and museums.
  The apartment was just lovely, very spacious and beautifully decorated, with all the amenities necessary . It was also surprisingly peaceful considering its location.
  We had a great stay. The landlady was also very accommodating allowing us extra time for checkout as we had an evening flight. We would highly recommend this place.
