You know what? I’ve stayed in a lot of city center places that promise charm but deliver cramped rooms with traffic noise – this one actually delivers on the charm part. The moment you walk in, there’s this lived-in warmth that makes you feel like you’re crashing at a well-traveled friend’s place rather than checking into some sterile hotel box. The 9.3 rating honestly makes sense once you settle in for a day or two.

The apartment sits right in the thick of things (I mean, city center is city center), but somehow the windows do a decent job keeping the street sounds manageable. I was expecting to hear every taxi and late-night conversation, but honestly, I slept pretty well most nights. The space itself has that perfect balance of local character and actual functionality – you’ll find quirky touches like vintage postcards tucked behind picture frames and books left behind by previous guests, but also a kitchen that actually works if you want to grab groceries from the market down the street instead of eating out every meal. Speaking of which, there’s this little café about two blocks over that locals line up at around 8 AM – worth the walk if you’re an early riser.

What really won me over was how the place feels authentic without trying too hard. The owner clearly lives in the neighborhood (or at least knows it well) because there were these handwritten notes about which metro entrance to use during rush hour and where to find the good gelato after 9 PM. Little stuff like that makes a difference when you’re trying to navigate a new city. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – none of that awkward hotel lobby hovering while they find your reservation. I will say the stairs are a bit steep if you’re hauling heavy luggage, and the shower pressure is… well, it’s adequate, let’s put it that way. But honestly, for a 3-star place in this location, I wasn’t expecting spa-level amenities anyway. The charm is in the details – the way morning light hits the living room around 10 AM, how you can hear the city waking up without feeling overwhelmed by it, and that satisfying feeling of having a real address instead of just a hotel room number. If you’re looking for cookie-cutter perfection, this isn’t your spot. But if you want to feel like you’re actually experiencing the city rather than just visiting it, this little apartment gets it right.

  The location is nice, but a little bit far to the Old Town (around 2 km). You can easily access Old Town by using public transport or just scooter 🙂 Apartment is nice and comfortable. There is almost everything you need at home, including microwave, iron, washing machine for
