You know what? I was honestly surprised by Chill Apartments Ursynów when I first pulled up to Złoty Potok 7. The name makes it sound like some generic budget place, but it’s actually a solid 4-star setup in one of Warsaw’s quieter districts. Ursynów isn’t where most tourists end up – it’s more of a residential area where actual Varsovians live, which I mean, that’s kind of the point if you want to avoid the tourist bubble. The building itself sits in this pleasant neighborhood with tree-lined streets, and you’ll notice right away how much quieter it is compared to staying near the Old Town. There’s decent street parking (though it fills up during weekday mornings when locals head to work), and the metro connection at Ursynów Centrum is maybe a 10-minute walk – not bad at all for getting into the city center.

The apartments themselves feel more like temporary homes than hotel rooms, honestly. Mine had this lived-in quality without being worn down, if that makes sense. The kitchen was actually functional – not just a mini-fridge and microwave situation – which saved me a fortune since eating out in Warsaw every meal gets expensive fast. I particularly appreciated the washing machine because, well, who wants to pack three weeks’ worth of clothes? The Wi-Fi worked reliably (I was working remotely part of the time), and the heating was solid during my November stay when Warsaw gets properly cold. One thing though – the walls aren’t super thick, so if you’re a light sleeper and end up next to a family with kids, you’ll hear them. Not a dealbreaker, but worth mentioning.

What really grew on me was the neighborhood vibe. There’s this excellent pierogi place called Zapiecek just a few streets over on Wąwozowa – locals actually eat there, not just tourists taking Instagram photos. The Ursynów market happens twice a week and it’s where you can grab fresh bread and vegetables without the markup you’d pay in Śródmieście. Honestly, staying here made me feel less like I was “doing” Warsaw and more like I was just living there for a while. The 7.9 rating feels about right – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but everything works, the location grows on you, and the value is solid for what you get. Plus, if you’re planning day trips outside Warsaw, you’re already on the south side of the city, so getting to places like Wilanów Palace or even heading toward Krakow is more straightforward. I’d definitely consider staying here again, especially for longer visits when you want that home-base feeling rather than the full hotel experience.

  The location was superb, especially if traveling as a family. A modern neighborhood with all the amenities, lively playgrounds, small convenience stores and plenty of things for kids to do. Very close to the airport as well, no need for spending a fortune on going to and from the airport.

  Very close to the airport, in a very quiet neighborhood, the apartment hat everything we needed, the bed was comfortable, the place was clean. Easy to park outside for free.
