You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from the Chmielna Marble City Centre Apartment when I first booked it – I mean, three stars in the heart of Warsaw for a decent price seemed almost too good to be true. But honestly, this place surprised me in the best way. The location is absolutely killer – you’re literally on Chmielna Street, which puts you right in the thick of everything without being on one of those crazy busy tourist strips that never quiet down. I could walk to the Palace of Culture in about ten minutes (though let’s be real, who actually wants to do that), and more importantly, I was steps away from some fantastic pierogi spots that definitely aren’t in any guidebooks. The marble in the name isn’t just marketing fluff either – there’s actual marble in the lobby and bathroom that gives the whole place this unexpectedly elegant feel, sort of like staying in someone’s stylish apartment rather than a typical budget hotel.

The apartment itself feels more spacious than you’d expect for central Warsaw, and I really appreciated the little kitchen setup because eating out for every meal gets expensive fast in this city. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward – none of that awkward waiting around in a tiny lobby situation. The staff actually seemed to know the neighborhood well, which is rarer than you’d think; they pointed me toward this amazing coffee place on Nowy Świat that became my morning ritual. One thing I should mention though – if you’re a super light sleeper, pack earplugs. It’s not terrible, but you’re in the city center, so there’s definitely some street noise, especially on weekend nights when people are heading to the bars in the area. The trade-off is absolutely worth it though because you can walk everywhere. I never once needed to figure out the tram system (which honestly looked confusing anyway).

What really sold me on this place was how it felt like staying somewhere locals might actually live, not some sterile hotel room. The building has character – you can tell it’s got history, but everything’s been updated where it matters. The Wi-Fi was solid, which saved my life since I was trying to work remotely for part of my stay. And here’s something I didn’t expect – the water pressure in the shower was actually great, which might sound silly but after a long day of walking around the Old Town, it made all the difference. The 7.9 rating seems about right; it’s not luxury by any means, but for the price point and location, I’d definitely stay here again. Plus, being so close to Krakowskie Przedmieście means you’re perfectly positioned for both the historical stuff and the actual living, breathing parts of Warsaw where people hang out.

  What could be improved: My arrival day there was no clean sheets or towels in the flat. I told the company but they could send me new/clean sheets and towels the day after…Lack of communication , its 2024 and we still have to comnunicate via e-mail , or office telephone…

  Good location if you plan to use the public transport, walking distance to the central train station. Also close to few groceries stores and many restaurants. The apartment was clean and had all the things necessary for a short stay.
  
  What could be improved: There was a small problem with the heater in the living room; only the one from the bedroom was working (so I guess the central heating is the building was on). Fortunately even if it was mid October it was not that cold so this did not bother us too much.

  The location was great, the apartment was very clean and looked nice. We enjoyed staying there beside that there is no aircondition or fan and on hot summer days it is impossible to stay during the day.
  
  What could be improved: There is an elevator at the building but there are steps to go up to the elevator. It is not convenient for strollers or old people.

  The place has a perfect location very close to everything i needed and very central.
  Bedroom was very comfortable and the internet is very good.
  
  What could be improved: The sofa in living room was unfolded when i arrived and there was no way to put it back, it took a lot of space and make it very small. Had to walk around it, and the cabinet drawer in bathroom was open and door didnt close. Other than that all good.

  Great location in the heart of the city center, Supermakets, restaurants and shops closeby. Safe area to walk until night. We were welcomed with 3 bottles of water which was very nice! great appartment for a couple.
  
  What could be improved: The owner wasn't replying when we couldn't find the entrance of the appartment even though we tried texting and calling during the hours of communication indicated in the informative early mesage that they sent us. The bathroom was really small, as well as the sink. The cabinet under the sink was attached with a band aid before our arrival and even though we didnt complain about it out of courtesy ( we got photos beforehand just to be sure) the owner tried to charge us for it. The beds weren't confortable and the general appartment was smaller than presented in the photos. Also the appartment could have been cleaner.

  The location is perfect, vert close to all amenities, groceries, restaurants, close to metro so easy to commute.
  
  What could be improved: Its a bit difficult to find the entrance as the gate is for two buildings and it wasnt easy to locate however local people from restaurants are very helpful and show the way.
