So I stayed at Elegant Apartment Foksal last spring, and honestly? It’s one of those places that grows on you. The name sounds fancier than it actually is – I mean, it’s nice enough, but don’t expect five-star luxury from a 3-star spot. What you get instead is this cozy apartment-style setup right in the heart of Śródmieście, which is honestly the best part about the whole place. Foksal Street itself is pretty quiet for being so central, and you’re literally a five-minute walk from the Royal Castle and maybe ten from the Old Town Square. The building has that classic Warsaw character – you know, the kind that survived everything and has stories to tell, though the elevator is… well, let’s just say it’s got personality too.

The apartment itself is actually quite spacious compared to typical hotel rooms in this area. I was surprised by how much natural light comes through the windows, and the kitchen setup is genuinely useful if you’re planning to stay more than a couple nights. There’s something satisfying about grabbing fresh bread from the little bakery around the corner on Nowy Świat and having your morning coffee without rushing to hotel breakfast hours. Speaking of Nowy Świat – that’s your main artery for everything good in this neighborhood. Restaurants, cafes, shops, and it connects you straight to the metro if you need to venture further out. The apartment’s Wi-Fi actually works well (I was working remotely part of the time), and the shower has proper water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in older Warsaw buildings.

Now, I’ll be real with you – the 7.3 rating makes sense because there are definitely some quirks. The street can get a bit noisy on weekend evenings since you’re close to the nightlife area, though it wasn’t anything earplugs couldn’t handle. Check-in was sort of informal – more like meeting someone to get keys rather than a traditional hotel desk situation, which some people love and others find stressful. I actually liked it because the host gave me proper local recommendations, not just the touristy stuff. They told me about this incredible pierogi place on Bracka Street that I never would’ve found otherwise. The cleaning could be a touch more thorough between guests, but nothing deal-breaking. What really won me over was the location advantage – you can walk to Łazienki Park when you need green space, hit up the trendy Powiśle district along the river, or just wander the beautifully reconstructed Old Town. For the price point in this part of Warsaw, especially during peak season, you’re getting solid value. It’s not Instagram-perfect, but it feels like staying in someone’s actual Warsaw apartment, which is exactly what some travelers are looking for.

Travelers should reserve a hotel in Warsaw at least two months ahead for major events like music festivals or business conferences, ensuring the best rates and prime locations near attractions.

  Great location. Near by public transports, 10 min walk from train main station and located in a streat with many bars and restaurants.
  Good area of the apartment and the essencial equipaments to cook.

  This apartament is located at the back of a courtyard and the cortines doesn't cover it all and also doesn't cover the sunlight to a proper rest.

  Location really nice. Sofa can pull out into a bed. Small but useful kitchen.
  
  What could be improved: Not air-conditioned, the air was a bit stiff. And the apartment was on the 1st floor, so if you open windows to ventilate, you feel a bit compromised on privacy. Also no ventilation in the bathroom.

  Excellent location, only 15 minute walk to the old town. in addition the location is fairly central to many bars / restaurants. Host managed to arrange a cot for our son which was needed.

  The shower is spa-like. I've never seen such an effective shower. The location is nice and many nice restaurants are nearby. They keep extra coffees/teas in the kitchen. Good communication with owner. The lightning was amazing. I hope they keep upgrading and investing in the unit.
  
  What could be improved: Not a criticism but personal / niche opinion: Get a cable box or Smart TV that has YouTube built-in, and let it hook into the wifi. Endless entertainment and no limits. Use Lithium Ion batteries and double check TV remote works between guests. Consider getting a fan since some nights it gets hot.

  The location is great. It’s close to restaurants/ cafes and bars. It’s an easy walk to attractions.

  What could be improved: Unfortunately I booked last year and when we arrived there were major works to the building. Scaffolding over the whole building. The entrance was obstructed with building materials. Out the front of the apartment, there were huge skip bins with building materials meaning all blinds and windows had to be shut. The workmen arrived at 7am, right out the front of the windows, yelling, throwing rubble into the bins. Also a portable toilet was placed out the front of the windows. It would have been nice to have know there were works happening and given a choice to cancel or proceed with the booking. I’m sure under normal circumstances the apartment is good. We were very disappointed and I feel completely ripped off. I don’t feel anyone should be staying there until the works are finished.

  What could be improved: the apartment is on the ground floor, so you hear definitely everything, like you sleep on the street. Also, everyone can watch you. the walls are extremely thin (someone had a disco every night)
  There was a problem with WiFi. A host installed a new one but didn’t wrote about it anywhere and didn’t answer for messages for an hour. Then said that because of my early check in(which I didn’t have) they wasn’t able to put a new paper with instructions. But you could write about it in messages!!!!
