You know what? Sometimes the best finds are the ones with awkward names that don’t try too hard to sound fancy. This apartment – and yeah, it’s basically a small apartment hotel setup – caught my eye because of that parking situation, and honestly, that turned out to be genius. Finding parking in this part of the city is usually a nightmare, but they’ve actually got a proper spot for you, which already puts you ahead of most places.

The metro connection is the real game-changer here though. I mean, you’re literally a two-minute walk from the station, and that opens up the entire city without dealing with traffic or those ridiculously expensive taxi rides. The apartment itself feels more lived-in than hotel-sterile, which I actually prefer – there’s a proper kitchen setup, not just some mini-fridge situation, and the bathroom has decent water pressure (you’d be surprised how often that’s an issue). It’s not going to win any design awards, but everything works, it’s clean, and there’s enough space to actually unpack your stuff instead of living out of a suitcase. The 3-star rating seems about right – it’s comfortable and functional without any pretense.

What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being so close to the metro. I was expecting constant rumbling or street noise, but the windows do their job, and honestly, I slept better here than at some much pricier hotels. The neighborhood has that authentic feel too – there’s a little bakery around the corner that locals actually use (not just tourists), and a decent grocery store for when you want to cook instead of eating out every meal. The 9.3 rating makes total sense once you factor in the value proposition. You’re getting independence, location, and that precious parking spot for way less than you’d pay at the chain hotels downtown. Sure, there’s no concierge or room service, but there’s something refreshing about having your own space and exploring the area like you actually live there for a few days.

  We are a family of five and were returning home from our Slovakia trip. It was our overnight stay on the way home to Latvia. The apartment was great with all the necessary included. It is located in a nice apartment building with free parking included. It was a bit far from the old town but it did not bother us since we had a car. Great place to stay if you are fine with being out of the center. And yes – great shopping mall right around the corner 🙂
