You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first booked this place – I mean, the name “FIRST — Green Żoliborz Apartment 5” sounds like someone threw words at a wall, right? But after spending a week here, I’m actually really glad I took the chance. The location on Kaliny Jędrusik street is sort of perfect if you want to experience Warsaw like locals do rather than being stuck in the touristy center. Żoliborz has this laid-back, residential vibe that feels refreshingly authentic – you’ll see people walking their dogs in the morning, kids heading to school, and there’s this great little bakery about two blocks down that becomes your daily ritual pretty quickly. The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious and well-thought-out, with these big windows that let in tons of natural light (which honestly makes all the difference during those shorter Polish winter days).

What really impressed me was how quiet it stays despite being in the city – I mean, you’re still in Warsaw, so there’s some street noise, but nothing that keeps you up at night. The building feels solid and well-maintained, and check-in was refreshingly straightforward (none of that awkward waiting around in a lobby situation). The kitchen actually has everything you need if you want to cook, which I ended up doing more than expected because there’s a decent grocery store within walking distance. I loved that you can easily hop on public transport to get downtown – the metro connections are really convenient, though I found myself walking more often than not because the neighborhood itself has character. There are these tree-lined streets that feel almost village-like, and you’ll stumble across little cafes and shops that definitely don’t cater to tourists.

The apartment’s green credentials aren’t just marketing fluff either – you can tell they’ve put thought into sustainable touches without making a big deal about it. Honestly, the 8.8 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed here. It’s not flashy or trying too hard to impress, but everything just works well together. The WiFi is solid (important for remote work), the shower has good pressure, and the bed is actually comfortable – you know how hit-or-miss that can be with apartment rentals. I’d definitely come back, especially because you get that perfect balance of feeling like you’re living in Warsaw rather than just visiting it, while still having easy access to all the main attractions when you want them. Plus, parking isn’t the nightmare it can be in other parts of the city if you’re driving.

  absolutely fantastic service from Adam ! apartment was beautifully decorated , sparkly clean and in excellent location . Adam went above and beyond for us and we couldn’t ask for a better host .

  What could be improved: Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. The apartment was extremely dirty — the cleaning seems superficial at best, maybe just a quick wipe of visible surfaces. Just look at the photos: the toilet was dirty, there were old stains everywhere, the oven was in terrible condition, and the shower drain was so clogged that water spilled onto the bathroom floor. The bed linen had hairs on it — very unpleasant.
  
  We arrived tired after a long trip with a child and wanted to leave immediately, but didn’t have the energy to search for alternatives that late. I contacted the host right after check-in and asked for proper cleaning, but he dismissed my concern with “Is this a bad cleaning?” and then replied “not today, not now.” I had to escalate to Booking.com for help. Eventually, the host agreed to let us leave early — but only refunded the remaining nights. We felt we had no choice but to stay, and that our rights as guests were completely ignored.
  
  In the end, we stayed two more nights — and those nights were not pleasant. I deeply regret not reading the reviews more carefully. I later saw that other guests had also mentioned poor cleanliness. This makes me wonder how the apartment has such a high rating
