I’ll be honest – when I first saw the name “Golden Apartments Warsaw – Big and Bright Stylish Apartments” I thought it was going to be one of those places that oversells itself, you know? But actually, they pretty much nailed it with that description. The apartment I stayed in on Pereca Street (which locals just call Pereca, by the way) was genuinely spacious and flooded with natural light from these massive windows that face east. I mean, if you’re not a morning person, you might want to invest in some serious blackout curtains because the sunrise hits you right in the face around 6 AM – but honestly, waking up to all that brightness made me feel way more energetic than usual.

The location is sort of perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with Old Town tourist chaos. Wola district has this cool vibe where you’ve got trendy cafes mixed with everyday Polish life – there’s this amazing pierogi place called Zapiecek just a few blocks down that the locals actually eat at (not just tourists), and the Rondo Daszyńskiego metro station is maybe a 7-minute walk, which gets you anywhere in the city super fast. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night despite being so central. The building itself has thick walls, and Pereca Street doesn’t get much through traffic, so you can actually sleep with the windows cracked open even in summer. The apartment had this modern kitchen that actually worked – like, all the appliances were new and the coffee maker didn’t require an engineering degree to operate. Small details, but they matter when you’re staying somewhere for more than a couple nights.

Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too – no standing around a fancy lobby for twenty minutes while they “prepare your room.” The building has this clean, minimalist entrance with a proper intercom system, and the key pickup was exactly where they said it would be. I stayed during late spring when Warsaw gets pretty busy with business travelers, but the whole process was smooth. The WiFi actually worked at the speed they promised (rare!), and there’s decent air circulation so the place doesn’t get stuffy even when it’s warm outside. If I’m being picky, the shower pressure could be a bit stronger, and the nearest grocery store is a little further than ideal – but there’s a small convenience shop on the corner that covers the basics. The building’s got this solid, well-maintained feel that you don’t always get with apartment rentals, and honestly, for the price point in this part of Warsaw, it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises.

  What could be improved: There was a massive construction right next to the building (see the photo from the balcony). It was noisy, they started around 6:30am. There is not much the host can do about it but I didn’t get any prior information about it.

  The area is good with many restaurants and close to transportation. Balcony but without patio furniture. The staff at the office is very helpful, and they answer the phone even when the office is closed.
  
  What could be improved: The process with the instructions to enter the entrance, to find the keys. We have to put a code in the elevator to get to the door of the room. We have to give a code to open the box with the keys. Then we have to go to the garage to give a code, etc. You will have to find somewhere to park the car, do the whole process above, so that you have the keys to be able to enter the garage using the elevator.
  It is unacceptable that the bathroom does not have a basket. We had to take the one from the kitchen. Did we have to throw the papers in the sink? The breakfast at the nearby Cafe is nothing special. Only coffee and one choice of 5 options. There is no room service, you have to pay extra money. We asked for toilet paper from the office.

  The property was easy to find & in great location!
  The building was new, clean and secure! The apartment iself was clean and comfortable!
  
  What could be improved: The apartment could really do with a few extra bits in the entrance area. At this time of the year, a welcome mat next to the entrance door is a must to clean off dirty shoes. As the floors are tiled the wet dirt from the shoes quickly covered the whole entrance with no mat. We also could not find a mop to clean it in the apartment and had to walk through that dirty area to the bathroom. It could also use a bench in that area – no comfortable spot to sit and remove the shoes!
  We also had to get an extra toilet roll, as there was only 1 left with us and was not enough.

  Our stay at the apartment was great. Everything was well-prepared, and nothing was missing. The breakfast was delicious, and the location was excellent—close to the city center, with everything easily accessible. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed.
