You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Great Apart Mokotów when I first pulled up – I mean, it’s tucked away in this residential part of Warsaw that most tourists completely skip over. But honestly, that turned out to be exactly why I ended up loving it. The Mokotów district has this lived-in feel that’s way more authentic than staying near the Old Town where everything’s geared toward visitors. You’ll actually hear Polish conversations in the hallways instead of a dozen different languages, and there’s something refreshing about that.

The apartments themselves are surprisingly well put together for a 3-star place. I stayed in a one-bedroom unit that had this little kitchenette – nothing fancy, but perfect for heating up pierogi from the Żabka down the street or making coffee that doesn’t cost you 15 złoty. The Wi-Fi actually works (tested it on three different video calls), and the shower has proper water pressure, which honestly can be hit or miss in Warsaw’s older buildings. What really got me though was how quiet it stays at night. Mokotów isn’t exactly sleepy, but you’re far enough from the main nightlife areas that you won’t have drunk tourists stumbling around at 3 AM. The trams run pretty regularly to get you into the center – takes maybe 20 minutes to reach Centrum, and you’ll save a fortune compared to staying in the touristy zones.

Here’s the thing that really sells it: the staff seem to actually care about the place. Check-in was smooth, they gave me practical advice about which grocery stores stay open late (Super-Sam on Puławska is your friend), and when my key card stopped working on day three, someone was up to fix it within ten minutes. The cleaning service is thorough without being intrusive – they left my stuff exactly where I’d scattered it around but somehow made everything spotless. And that 9.3 rating? I get it now. It’s not trying to be some luxury experience, but everything just… works. The location puts you close to Łazienki Park, which is gorgeous for morning runs, and you’re actually in a neighborhood where people live and work instead of just passing through. If you want to experience Warsaw like someone who actually lives here rather than just collecting Instagram shots, this place nails it.

  The owner was super helpful and flexible, we could not asked for a better host than her. The apartment is at a great location, the city centre is easily accessible from there with lot of buses and trams. There are many convenience store, bakery, pharmacy, cafe in the surrounding area. There is a small garden that opens from the room where you can enjoy your breakfast.

  Everything!!! Great location to start with, small, cosy studio with everything you need in, easy access to many shops, cafeterias, pharmacy and bus stops literally round the corner.
