The thing that hits you first is how… well, homey everything feels. These aren’t your typical hotel rooms where everything’s bolted down and wrapped in plastic. The apartments actually feel like someone’s really nice friend let you crash at their place for the week. The kitchens are properly stocked – I’m talking actual sharp knives and pans that aren’t scratched to hell, which honestly made my mornings so much better than grabbing overpriced hotel breakfast. There’s this lived-in quality to the furniture that’s comforting rather than worn out, if that makes sense. The beds are ridiculously comfortable too – I actually looked up the mattress brand because I was sleeping better there than at home.

What really sold me on the place was the little details that show someone actually thinks about what travelers need. The wifi password was written on this cute little chalkboard instead of some crumpled piece of paper, there were phone chargers already plugged in by the bed (the right kind, too), and they’d stocked the bathroom with decent toiletries – not those tiny bottles that run out after one shower. The check-in process was refreshingly human – no standing in line behind a marble counter while someone types forever into a computer. More like being welcomed into someone’s building, which I guess is exactly what it was. The staff actually remembered my name by the second day, something that never happens at those big chain places.

I’ll be honest, it’s not perfect – the elevator’s a bit slow and you can occasionally hear your neighbors if they’re having a particularly enthusiastic conversation, but nothing that really bothered me. The location worked out great for walking around, though I can’t speak to the specific neighborhood since I’m not sure exactly where they’re situated. What I can say is that parking wasn’t the nightmare I expected, and I felt completely safe walking back in the evenings. The whole vibe just felt more authentic than staying in some sterile hotel where every room looks identical and the art was clearly bought in bulk.

It’s got that sweet spot of being comfortable and well-thought-out without trying too hard to impress you. I’d definitely stay there again, which honestly isn’t something I say about most places.
