Hotel Description

You know what? Hotel Łazienkowski is one of those places that just works. I mean, it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury, but honestly, that’s not what you’re here for anyway. The location on 29 Listopada is actually pretty brilliant – you’re right in Śródmieście but tucked away enough that you won’t have drunk tourists stumbling past your window at 3am. I’ve stayed here twice now, and both times I was surprised by how quiet it gets at night, especially considering you’re basically in the heart of everything.

The building itself has that solid, no-nonsense Polish feel to it – sort of brutalist but in a charming way, if that makes sense. Check-in was smooth both times (though I’d avoid arriving during rush hour because parking around there can be… well, let’s just say creative). The staff actually knows the neighborhood, which is rarer than you’d think. Last time I was there, the guy at reception gave me this great tip about a little pierogi place just two streets over that I never would’ve found otherwise. The rooms are clean and functional – nothing fancy, but the beds are surprisingly comfortable and the shower pressure is decent. You’ll get your standard 3-star amenities, but everything actually works, which honestly puts it ahead of some 4-star places I’ve been to.

What I really appreciate about this place is how it sits in the city. You’re close enough to walk to most of the main sights – the Old Town is maybe 15 minutes on foot, and there’s a tram stop practically around the corner that’ll get you anywhere else you need to go. But here’s the thing locals know: this part of Śródmieście has some of the best cafes and smaller restaurants that tourists usually miss because they’re all rushing toward the more obvious spots. I spent one morning just wandering the nearby streets with my coffee and stumbled across this amazing little bookshop-café hybrid that became my daily breakfast spot. The area comes alive differently than the touristy parts – you get actual Warsaw life happening around you, people heading to work, kids going to school, that kind of authentic city rhythm that makes you feel like you’re actually experiencing the place rather than just visiting it. Sure, the hotel itself won’t win any design awards, and the WiFi can be a bit spotty in some rooms (though it worked fine for me), but sometimes you just want a solid base that doesn’t eat your entire travel budget while keeping you connected to what makes a city tick.

Warsaw’s apartments offer spacious accommodations with modern amenities, perfect for business travelers wanting to experience daily life in this rapidly developing European capital.

Reviews

  • Very Good – Irmante from Lithuania – January 1, 2025 (8/10)

The hotel looks clean, clean sheets, comfortable bed and pillows, quiet, breakfast modest but tasty, the location is fine, quiet and peaceful area, near huge park. The gentleman working in a reception was friendly and helpful. I liked the thoughtful extras provided in the room, such as a vanity box, a sponge for boots, a bag for dirty laundry, and complimentary bottles of water. Small bridge in the room. Private parking was available and reasonably priced, which was convenient. We stayed for 1 night only on New Years Eve, so it was a costly option. We’d stay here again, but it wouldn’t be our first or second choice due to the cost. While clean, comfortable, and quiet, it feels a bit overpriced compared to other options.

What could be improved: The hotel itself is quite old and could benefit from a renovation to modernize its appearance. The WiFi code is only available at the reception, so you need to remember to pick it up.We couldn’t find an elevator, which might be inconvenient for guests with heavy luggage or mobility issues. The reception woman wasn’t very friendly, which was a bit off-putting compared to the warm reception from the gentleman. The TV offered limited channels, which might not appeal to everyone.

  • Staff from heaven, great value for money – Agata from Czech Republic – December 5, 2024 (9/10)

Fantastic staff, good location, great food, quiet with homely feel. This is a place for people who value straightforward places without the fancy fluff. Having several, difficult to manage food restrictions staff prepared breakfast that met them all without any additional cost. They went out of their way each day coming up with new ideas on what to serve and confirming each with us. 11/10 for dedication. Food was Polish staples, all done with fresh ingredients.

What could be improved: Some amenities are reaching end of life stage. It is reflected in a very reasonable price but for some it would be not enough.
