Hotel Description

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from Hotel Tulip Residences when I first pulled up to Targowa 5 – honestly, the Praga Południe district still has this reputation among some Warsaw locals as being a bit rough around the edges. But here’s the thing about this neighborhood that most tourists miss: it’s actually become one of the coolest parts of the city. The hotel sits right in the heart of what I’d call “new Praga,” where you’ve got these amazing little cafes popping up next to vintage shops, and the whole area has this authentic Warsaw vibe that the Old Town just can’t match anymore (too many tour groups, if I’m being honest). The building itself is pretty unassuming from the outside – sort of a modern block that blends in with the residential feel of the street – but step inside and it’s clear they’ve put real thought into making this place work for travelers who want something more than a generic hotel experience.

What really struck me about staying here was how quiet it gets at night, which is kind of surprising given that you’re still very much in the city. I mean, Targowa isn’t exactly a sleepy residential street, but the rooms are well-insulated and face away from the main traffic flow. The staff actually knows the neighborhood too – not just the obvious tourist spots, but they pointed me toward this incredible pierogi place about three blocks down that I never would have found otherwise. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward, none of that overly formal hotel lobby nonsense, just friendly people who seemed genuinely interested in making sure I knew how to get around. The rooms themselves are what I’d call smart rather than luxurious – everything you need is there and it’s all well-designed, but they’re not trying to pretend this is a five-star palace. The bed was genuinely comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and there’s this nice attention to detail in things like the lighting and storage space that you don’t always get in three-star places.

Here’s what I really appreciated though – the location gives you the best of both worlds. You can walk to the Vistula riverfront in about ten minutes, which is gorgeous especially in the evening when locals come out to jog or just sit by the water. Getting into the city center is easy too; the tram connections are solid and honestly faster than dealing with traffic if you were staying somewhere more central. I spent one morning just wandering the neighborhood and stumbled across the Praga Market, which has this wonderful mix of fresh produce vendors and little stalls selling everything from vintage Polish posters to handmade jewelry. The whole area feels like it’s still discovering itself, if that makes sense – there’s this energy of a place that’s changing but hasn’t lost its character yet. For the price point and that 8.8 rating, Hotel Tulip Residences really delivers on being a solid base for exploring Warsaw without the tourist markup you’d pay closer to the main square.

To book hotel in Warsaw during the famous Warsaw Autumn music festival season, visitors should make reservations well in advance as the city attracts history enthusiasts and cultural travelers from around the world.

Liked the placement of the hotel. We were there to attend a concert at The PGE Narodowy Stadium, and the hotel was a very short walk from the Stadium.
All staff were lovely and very helpful.
    Hotel clean.

very nice accommodation in the apartment. From the room it was possible to watch the trains passing by. Very close to the tram stop and across the road to the Žabka market. Excellent location to the Stadion Narodowy.
At the reception, my request for a transfer to the airport was granted.

  • Exceptional – Edgars from Latvia – July 17, 2025 (10/10)

Pretty big room for the price and location near city center.

What could be improved: Hotel is near Warsawa train station, was a bit annoying during the day but at night couldn't heat the train.

Modern and up to date. Comfortable bed. The food was very good in the restaurant. Good breakfast. Close to public transit.

What could be improved: Internet is too slow. Ask for a room away from the train tracks if you are a light sleeper. I had no problem but some people might.

  • Wonderful – Jennifer from Switzerland – June 21, 2025 (9/10)

Great customer service and was very helpful at every point
