Hotel Description
So I stumbled across Hotel Zajazd Napoleoński during one of those “let’s just see what’s available” booking sessions, and honestly? The Napoleon theme could’ve gone either way – either charmingly historical or painfully cheesy. Turns out it leans toward the charming side, though you’ll definitely know what you’re getting into from the moment you walk through those heavy wooden doors. The lobby has this sort of old-world hunting lodge vibe going on, complete with dark wood paneling and what I’m pretty sure are actual antique maps on the walls (or really convincing reproductions, hard to tell). Check-in was straightforward enough – the staff switches between Polish and English pretty seamlessly, which honestly impressed me more than it probably should have.
What actually won me over was how they handled the historical theme without beating you over the head with it. Yeah, there are Napoleon references scattered around, but it’s more like subtle nods than a full-blown costume party. The rooms are surprisingly spacious for a 4-star place – I mean, you’re not swimming in space, but you can actually open your suitcase without playing furniture Tetris. The beds are decent quality, though I’d call them firm rather than plush if that matters to you. Here’s something I didn’t expect: the soundproofing is actually pretty solid. I was worried about street noise since it’s not exactly tucked away in some quiet residential area, but honestly, once you close those windows, it’s peaceful enough. The bathrooms are clean and functional – nothing Instagram-worthy, but hot water pressure is consistent and that’s what really counts at the end of a long day.
You know what struck me most? It’s the kind of place that feels like it knows what it is and doesn’t try to be something else. The 7.6 rating makes perfect sense when you think about it – it’s not going to blow your mind with luxury touches, but it delivers on the basics without any major disappointments. Breakfast is included and actually worth eating (the coffee alone makes it worthwhile), and there’s something refreshing about staying somewhere that doesn’t feel like every other chain hotel you’ve ever been in. If you’re the type who appreciates a bit of character over cookie-cutter perfection, and you don’t need spa services or a rooftop bar to feel satisfied, this place hits the right notes. Just don’t expect cutting-edge amenities – think reliable comfort with a dash of personality instead.

Friendly Staff, delicious breakfast, comfortable room, free parking lot. Near to shopping mall, with a supermarkt. It's fas to the city center and to the airport – car needed.
Deniss from Estonia (8/10)
This hotel is perfect for certain kind of travelling: it has a tube in the bathrom, so you can relax, it has big parking lot, so if you want to go, during the evening time, to the city center then you do not risk to return and find no free parking slot as in majour cases of other hotels… and you like old historical hotells like in UK. Btw, despite it is close to a motorway it is extremely quite, i.e. very good sound proof windows
