Overview
First Impressions
Walking into InterContinental Warszawa, an IHG Hotel feels like stepping into modern Polish elegance — and I mean that in the best way possible. The lobby has this sophisticated warmth that immediately tells you you’re somewhere special, but not stuffy. Located right on Emilii Plater street in Warsaw’s Śródmieście district, you’re literally in the beating heart of the city. This five-star property sits perfectly between the Palace of Culture and Science and the main shopping areas, which honestly couldn’t be more ideal if you’re trying to experience the real Warsaw.
The Location Advantage
You know what’s brilliant about this spot? You can walk to pretty much everything that matters — the Old Town is a pleasant stroll away, and the central train station is close enough that you don’t need to stress about airport transfers. I’ve noticed couples absolutely love it here (they rate the location 9.7, which is pretty impressive), and I get why. There’s something romantic about being able to wander through Łazienki Park in the afternoon, then pop back for a quick refresh before dinner. The parking situation is sorted too — they have private spots, which is actually a big deal in this part of the city.
The Room Experience
The rooms here are genuinely comfortable — not just hotel-brochure comfortable, but actually restful. The beds have this perfect firmness that somehow works whether you’re a side sleeper or back sleeper, and honestly, after walking around Warsaw all day, that matters more than you’d think. Each room has floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the city beautifully, and the bathrooms feel properly luxurious without being over-the-top. The soundproofing is excellent too, which you’ll appreciate since you’re right in the city center.
Dining That Actually Delivers
Here’s where this place really shines — the food is legitimately good, not just “good for hotel food.” The breakfast spread is this wonderful mix of American classics and Polish specialties, served buffet-style so you can try a bit of everything. I always go for the fresh pastries and local cheeses — they source really well. The main restaurant serves dishes that feel both international and rooted in Polish flavors, and the service has this professional warmth that makes dinner feel special without being formal.
Why Guests Love It
What keeps people coming back (and there are quite a few repeat guests here) is how effortlessly everything works. The staff genuinely knows Warsaw and can point you toward hidden gems, not just tourist traps. The spa facilities are perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing, and there’s something satisfying about returning to a place that feels both elegant and welcoming. It’s the kind of hotel where you can impress business colleagues or celebrate an anniversary — the quality is consistent, the location is unbeatable, and you’ll sleep better than you have in months.

overall is decent and a good stay
Central location
It is a unique spot, friendly staff and well organized with pool and fitness.
Loved our room with the view from the Palace. The room was beautiful and spacious. I certainly would stay again. The pool and Jacuzzi is a must. Loved having that each morning.
very comfortable hotel in the Warsaw new city center
Great location. Excellent view a we were upgraded to a higher floor. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
The room was very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. The location is great. The Palace of the Culture is across the road, huge shopping mal Zlote Tarasy 1 minute walk. We took uber all the time and the drives were not longer than 10-15 minutes to all the locations we wanted to visit.
What wasn’t to like? Every little detail was incredible. Every inch of the hotel was so clean, the swimming pool was beautiful, especially the view. The little details in the room were so thoughtful, if you’d forgotten something, it was there for you. I also don’t think we’ve ever had such a comfortable bed in a hotel, and those pillows 😍 - we need them in our life!
Every member of staff we encountered too, were so friendly and they couldn’t do enough for their guests.
