JessApart– Babka Tower Apartment

Overview

You know what? I wasn’t expecting much from an apartment hotel on Jana Pawła II – I mean, it’s basically a main artery through Warsaw and can get pretty hectic during rush hour. But JessApart’s Babka Tower location actually surprised me in the best way. The building itself is one of those modern glass towers that dot Śródmieście, and honestly, once you’re inside, the street noise just melts away. The apartment I stayed in had this really solid soundproofing that I didn’t notice until I realized I couldn’t hear the trams rumbling by below. What really got me was the attention to detail – they’ve got proper blackout curtains (thank god, because Warsaw summers mean daylight until like 9 PM), and the kitchen actually has everything you need, not just the bare minimum most places throw in there. I ended up cooking a few meals because, well, the Żabka downstairs had decent groceries and I was getting tired of restaurant food after a week of business meetings.

The location is honestly pretty clever once you figure out the neighborhood. Sure, you’re not in the heart of Old Town, but you’re maybe a 15-minute walk to the Palace of Culture, and there’s this little cluster of decent restaurants around Plac Bankowy that most tourists never find. The metro connection at Ratusz Arsenał is close enough that getting around is actually easier than staying in some of the more “central” spots where everything’s crowded and overpriced. I liked being able to walk to that big Arkadia shopping center when I needed to grab some proper toiletries – you know how it is when you’re staying somewhere for more than just a weekend. The building’s got this 24-hour reception thing going on, which saved me when I got back around midnight one night and couldn’t figure out the key card system (apparently you have to hold it there for like three full seconds, not just tap it like every other hotel in existence).

What really sold me on the place was how it felt more like borrowing someone’s actual apartment than staying in a sterile hotel room. The furniture’s comfortable enough that I could actually work from the living room couch, and there’s proper lighting for reading – not those dim, atmospheric bulbs that look nice but give you a headache after twenty minutes. The bathroom’s got good water pressure and stays hot, which sounds basic but you’d be amazed how many places in Warsaw still struggle with that. I mean, it’s not luxury by any stretch, but it’s solid and reliable, and the staff actually seems to care about the place running smoothly. The 8.4 rating makes sense to me – it’s the kind of spot that does what it promises without any drama, and sometimes that’s exactly what you need when you’re trying to get work done or just want a comfortable base for exploring the city.

Warsaw’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Polish tradition and modern comfort, with many featuring historical tour services and authentic Polish hospitality.

Lovely place. Would recommend

Friendly and helpful host, great location with shops and tram super close

What could be improved: It did say it had 3 bedrooms, but it’s really only 2 bedrooms, as the “third” does not have a door and is inside the second one.

Comfortable, modern and quiet apartment close to the centre

Modern and incredibly quiet despite being near a busy road, well equipped, comfortable beds, large bedrooms. Very secure, several codes on the way! The people managing it were very nice and helpful.

What could be improved: The communal area was quite small - there was a big table and kitchenette but for a longer stay it may not be enough for a large group.
