You know what really got me about La Mia Casa when I first walked in? It’s tucked right in the heart of Stare Miasto – and I mean right in it, not just “near the old town” like half the hotels claim. You’re literally surrounded by those gorgeous cobblestone streets and medieval buildings that make Warsaw’s historic center so special. The building itself has this wonderful old-world character that somehow feels both authentic and welcoming, which honestly isn’t always easy to pull off in a restored historic property.

What impressed me most was how they’ve managed to keep that intimate, residential feel – the name literally means “my house” and that’s exactly what it feels like. The rooms have this cozy, lived-in quality without being cramped, and you can tell someone actually thought about the details that matter. I mean, the WiFi actually works (shocking, I know), the beds are properly comfortable, and there’s decent soundproofing which is crucial when you’re this close to the main tourist areas. During the day you’ll hear the gentle buzz of people exploring the old town, but it never felt overwhelming or kept me awake at night. The staff really knows their stuff too – they gave me walking directions to this little pierogi place that wasn’t in any guidebook but was absolutely incredible.

Here’s the thing about staying right in Stare Miasto though – you’re walking distance from everything that matters. The Royal Castle, St. John’s Cathedral, all those charming little squares with outdoor cafes where you can sit and people-watch for hours. But what I really loved was just stepping out in the early morning when the tour groups haven’t arrived yet, and having those ancient streets mostly to yourself. The location means you don’t need to mess around with taxis or figuring out the tram system just to see the main sights. And honestly, for a 3-star place, the quality feels like it punches well above its weight – that 9.6 rating isn’t just for show. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re actually experiencing Warsaw rather than just visiting it, if that makes sense. Perfect if you want to feel connected to the city’s history without sacrificing comfort or ending up somewhere that feels like a tourist factory.

  It was very clean and modern. There was quite enough space for 2 people although it is a small studio. It is very near the old town, with many restaurants around, and access to mini markets. The hosts were very accommodating and helpful!

  We stayed at Izabel’s apartment for 3 days and loved it.
  The apartment is on the 3rd floor with stairs that aren’t very steep, and it’s been completely renovated.
  We adored the style, the colors, and the welcoming atmosphere.
  It’s super comfortable, with an incredibly cozy bed and snug blankets, a spacious shower in the bathroom, and the sweet welcome treat waiting for us.
  The apartment was well-heated, and coming back from the cold outside was just a pleasure.
  The location is incredibly central, just steps away from the Barbican, perfect for those who love the old town’s charm.
