Look, I’ll be honest – when I first heard about staying in Praga Południe, I wasn’t exactly thrilled. Most people stick to the Old Town or Śródmieście, you know? But Lizbońska 2 by Homeprime actually turned out to be one of those pleasant surprises that makes you feel a bit smug about finding a hidden gem. The building itself is pretty typical for this part of Warsaw – that post-war residential architecture that’s not going to win any beauty contests, but there’s something reassuringly authentic about it. You’re definitely staying where locals actually live, not in some tourist bubble. The apartment I got was clean and surprisingly spacious for a 3-star place, though honestly, the star rating system feels a bit arbitrary these days anyway. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night – none of that constant tram clanging you deal with closer to the center, just the occasional car passing by on Lizbońska street.

The area itself is actually pretty convenient once you figure it out, though it takes a day or two to get your bearings. There’s a decent grocery store about a five-minute walk away (which you’ll need since the kitchenette is actually functional, unlike some places that give you a hot plate and call it cooking facilities). The real win is the transport connections – I mean, it’s not like you can walk to the Royal Castle from here, but the bus routes are solid and you can get to the metro without too much hassle. I found myself taking the 146 bus a lot, which runs pretty frequently and gets you to more central areas in about 20-25 minutes depending on traffic. What surprised me was how green this neighborhood is – there are actually some nice walking paths nearby, and if you’re into that sort of thing, the Vistula riverbank isn’t far. The check-in process was smooth enough, though you’ll want to coordinate arrival times since it’s not like a traditional hotel with 24-hour reception.

Here’s what I wish someone had told me before booking: the WiFi is reliable (always a gamble in Warsaw apartments), but the water pressure in the shower is just okay – not terrible, but don’t expect anything spectacular. Also, while the place is generally well-maintained, some of the furniture has that slightly worn look that comes with being a rental property. But honestly? For the price point and the 7.7 rating, it delivers exactly what it promises. You’re getting a clean, functional base in a real Warsaw neighborhood without paying tourist-district prices. The locals at the nearby café (there’s this little place about three blocks down that does surprisingly good coffee) were friendly enough, and I actually enjoyed the morning routine of walking there instead of relying on hotel breakfast. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to experience Warsaw like you actually live there for a few days, rather than just hitting the major sights, this works really well. Just don’t expect luxury – think of it more like borrowing a friend’s apartment while they’re out of town.

  What could be improved: Квартира действительно выглядит как на фото, но она сильно убитая, неудобная и требует ремонта. И точно не стоит своих денег.
  Стены все в пятнах, их давно следует перекрасить. Межкомнатные двери поцарапаны, повреждения кое-как заклеены. На балконе на полу какое-то рыжее пятно. В пультах от телевизора батарейки были только в одном. Стойка для одежды в спальне была сломана.
  Спальни. Их действительно 3. Они маленькие, но для просто ночевки этого достаточно. Учтите, что в кроватях нет матрасов. Кровать – это как разложенный диван. В 2-х спальнях ну ооооочень слышны соседи. За 4 ночи нашего пребывания они громко смотрели телевизор до утра. Даже моей маме, которой обычно соседский шум не мешает, спать было не возможно. Постельное белье довольно старое, но чистое. Подушки – это кошмар. просто комки сбитой ваты. Нас было 2 женщины (при бронировании это было указано) и нам постелили почему-то одну кровать, при наличии 3-х спален. Дали ровно 2 подушки с наволочкой. Хорошо хоть одеяла были раздельные 2 шт. и оставили простынь. Мы сами постелили себе во второй спальне.
  В спальне за стеклом соседи не слышны, но там очень пахнет пылью. Видимо давно не стирались бархатные шторы на окне и на стеклянной стене.
  Зал. Диван старый и продавленный, пахнет пылью. Как и куча подушек на нем. Находится там не приятно совсем.
  Кухня. На кухне есть посуда и принадлежности. Но нам оставили грязную сковородку, которую видимо плохо помыла посудомоечная машина, а ее так и поставили на полку. Это было противно. Посудомоечная машина есть, но для нее не оставили даже одной капсулы. Кому есть смысл покупать пачку таблеток для квартиры где ты живешь несколько дней? тоже и с кофеваркой – она есть, а капсул с кофе нет совсем. Более того, в ней была использованная кем-то до нас капсула. Тоже неприятно.
  Были оставлены для нас пакетики чая и пакеты растворимого кофе.
  Ванная и туалет. Там пахнет канализацией. Нет ни одного крючка, чтобы повесить полотенце. Нет полочки для в душе для туал принадлежностей
