I mean, most people searching for hotels wouldn’t immediately think “oh great, medical facilities nearby!” but here’s the thing: this location is actually brilliant for anyone who needs to be in that area, and the apartment itself? Way better than you’d expect from a 3-star place.

When I first walked in, I was genuinely surprised by how spacious everything felt. You know how hotel photos can be deceiving, making tiny rooms look huge? Well, this was the opposite – it’s actually more generous with space than the listing suggests. The setup is properly apartment-style, which means you’ve got room to spread out your stuff (thank god, because I always overpack). The kitchen area is functional too, not just one of those sad mini-fridges with a microwave situation. I actually ended up cooking a few meals there, partly because the nearby restaurants get pretty busy during lunch hours when all the medical staff are on break, but also because it felt nice to have that option.

What really sold me on this place, though, was how quiet it manages to be despite being so close to major medical facilities. I was worried about ambulance sirens and general hospital chaos, but the building is positioned just right – you’re close enough to walk over in literally two minutes, but far enough that you’re not dealing with the noise. The check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that awkward hovering-around-the-lobby thing while they figure out your reservation. The host clearly knows what they’re doing and has this whole process down to a science.

I’ll be honest, the decor isn’t going to win any design awards – it’s pretty standard apartment furniture, nothing fancy – but everything works properly and it’s clean, which frankly matters more than whether the throw pillows match perfectly. The WiFi is solid (always my first test), hot water comes quickly, and the bed is actually comfortable, not just “hotel comfortable” where you wake up with a weird crick in your neck.

The 9.0 rating makes total sense once you’ve stayed there. It’s not trying to be some luxury experience, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. If you’re visiting someone at either of those medical facilities, or if you just need a reliable, spacious place to stay in that area, this apartment hits all the right notes. Plus – and this might sound weird – but there’s something reassuring about being so close to top medical facilities. Not that you’re planning to need them, but still, you know?
