Lumina apartments on the market square near the Royal Castle

Warsaw, Poland
8.6 Excellent

Overview

You know what really surprised me about Lumina apartments? Walking up to this place, you’re literally standing where Warsaw’s heartbeat has been pounding for centuries. I mean, the Royal Castle is right there – you can practically touch it – and the market square buzzes with that perfect mix of tourists snapping photos and locals grabbing coffee on their way to work.

The apartments themselves feel like someone actually thought about how people live, not just where they sleep. These aren’t your typical hotel boxes with generic art and scratchy sheets. The spaces breathe, honestly – high ceilings that make you want to stretch your arms up, windows that frame the castle views like they were planned by an artist who actually cares. I spent way too much time just watching the square come alive in the morning from my kitchen window (yes, there’s an actual kitchen, not just a sad mini-fridge situation). The five-star rating isn’t just about thread count here – though the linens are pretty damn nice – it’s about those details that make you feel settled instead of just passing through. The floors have this warm wood that doesn’t creak when you pad around barefoot at midnight, and the bathrooms… well, let’s just say they understand that water pressure matters.

What I really appreciate is how they’ve managed to keep the historical soul of the place without making you feel like you’re sleeping in a museum. The building sits perfectly in Old Town’s rhythm – you’ll hear church bells in the morning and maybe some late-night laughter from the square, but it’s never that aggressive city noise that keeps you staring at the ceiling. Actually, if you’re here during summer evenings, grab a drink and just sit by your window around sunset. The whole square turns golden, and you get this front-row seat to watch Warsaw being itself. The 8.6 rating makes sense when you realize this isn’t trying to be flashy – it’s just really, really good at being what it is. Sure, parking can be a bit of a puzzle (welcome to Old Town), but honestly, once you’re settled in, you won’t want to leave anyway. Everything worth seeing is either visible from your window or a five-minute walk away, and the staff actually knows the neighborhood well enough to point you toward that little bakery on Świętojańska that doesn’t show up in guidebooks but absolutely should.

Warsaw’s hotels showcase the perfect blend of Polish tradition and modern comfort, with many featuring historical tour services and authentic Polish hospitality.

Nice apartment in the heart of Warsaw, good combination of price and quality.
It's nice that we were able to be settled much earlier than at 15.00!
The location of the apartment is simply amazing, it is the very center of the old town. Everything is nearby, there are many restaurants and cafes.
The decoration and furniture are not very new, it is clear that the apartment has been used for quite a long time. The rooms and bathroom are quite neat and clean.
In one of the bedrooms, which overlooks the central square, there is a very nice wide bed with a comfortable mattress. In the other bedroom, the bed is quite small for two adults, besides, the mattress is not very comfortable.
