The location is genuinely perfect if you’re the type who likes to actually explore a city rather than hang around the hotel all day. You can literally hear the metro rumbling underneath (though it’s not annoying – more like a gentle urban lullaby), and I swear you can be at most major attractions within 15 minutes. The whole area has this lived-in neighborhood feel that I actually prefer to those sterile tourist districts. There’s a small café two doors down where the owner remembers your coffee order after the second day, and you know what? That’s the kind of detail that makes a trip memorable. The apartment itself is surprisingly spacious – I was expecting one of those cramped European hotel rooms, but you can actually move around without bumping into furniture. The kitchen is basic but functional (perfect for morning coffee or storing leftovers from those massive local portions), and the Wi-Fi is solid, which matters more than people admit.

What really impressed me was how quiet it gets at night despite being so central. Sure, there’s the occasional late-night metro train, but the windows are decent quality and block most street noise. The check-in process was refreshingly straightforward – no lengthy presentations about spa services I’ll never use or restaurants I can’t afford. Just keys, a quick rundown of the neighborhood highlights, and you’re set. I will say the building itself looks pretty unassuming from the outside (actually, kind of bland), but that’s almost a plus because you’re not paying for fancy lobby marble or doormen in ridiculous uniforms. The money clearly went into making the actual living space comfortable, which is where your priorities should be anyway. The shower pressure is excellent – and trust me, after walking 20,000 steps through the city, that matters more than thread count. One small thing: the elevator is tiny and sort of slow, but honestly, it adds to the authentic local experience rather than detracting from it.
