You know what? I’ve stayed at a lot of apartment hotels in Warsaw, and MENNICA RESIDENCE APARTMENTS actually surprised me in a good way. It’s tucked away on Waliców Street in the Wola district – which, honestly, most tourists skip entirely, but that’s kind of the point. You’re getting a real slice of Warsaw life here, not some sanitized hotel bubble. The building itself has this interesting industrial-meets-residential vibe that somehow works. I mean, the area used to be pretty gritty, but it’s been transforming over the past few years, and you can feel that energy when you’re walking around.

The apartments themselves are solid – nothing fancy, but everything you actually need. The kitchenettes are properly equipped (I’m talking real plates, not plastic nonsense), and the beds are surprisingly comfortable for a 3-star place. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night, even though you’re still in the city. The windows are decent quality, which matters more than you’d think when you’re trying to sleep. Check-in was straightforward, though the front desk isn’t staffed 24/7, so definitely coordinate your arrival time. The Wi-Fi actually works well throughout the building – I was able to video call from my room without any issues, which is always a relief when you’re traveling for work.

Here’s the thing about the location that the booking sites don’t really tell you: you’re about a 15-minute walk to the Warsaw Uprising Museum, which is absolutely worth your time, and there’s this fantastic little Polish restaurant called Zapiecek just a few blocks away where locals actually eat. The tram connections are really good from here – you can get to the Old Town in maybe 20 minutes, and honestly, I prefer staying somewhere like this and taking quick trips into the tourist areas rather than being stuck in the middle of all that chaos. There’s a small grocery store practically next door, which saved me multiple times when I needed coffee or snacks. Parking can be a bit tricky if you’re driving – street parking is hit or miss, but there are some paid lots nearby. The 7.8 rating feels about right to me; it’s not going to blow you away, but it delivers on what it promises without any major disappointments. If you’re the type of traveler who wants to experience Warsaw like someone who actually lives there, rather than just hitting the main tourist spots, this place gives you a good base for that.

Early hotels booking in Warsaw requires advance planning during peak cultural seasons when visitors flock to see the city’s remarkable reconstruction story and vibrant arts scene.

  Located in Warsaw city center, the location is very close to all means of transportation.

  Clear instructions about key box were sent to me, it was easy to follow the instructions about the keys.
  The room was clean, kitchen was comfy, there were TV with Youtube and Netflix.
  In the inner yard there was small Zabka shop with all the essential goods. Metro was really close.
  
  What could be improved: There were different street names on the building from the different sites. It was not easy to understand, from which side I must go to my apartment. It would be easier, if instruction has mentioned, that I had to go to the inner yard.
  In the bathroom there werent any hooks for towels, in the closets there were maybe 3-4 hangers, that is way too little for family of 4.
  The breakfast was great, but it was not very easy to find a cafe, where breakfast was served, instructions might include some pictures of the place.

  What could be improved: I wish the lock wasn’t impossible to lock, that there was a cutting board, a comfortable sofa, decent pillows, towels that felt like we were drying ourselves with floor mats. And customer service that responded to issues.

  Location, comfortable beds, nice building, very good breakfast.
  
  What could be improved: Dirty dishes not cleaned after previous guests. Broken dishwasher and TV in the apartment. Lack of contact from the staff, when I reported all my remarks I was ignored. Only offered email address to send my opinions. Instructions to get to apartment from Walicow 11 was misleading and for a long time I simply couldn't get to the place. Overall, lack of proper management, cleaningness and damaged equipment ruined overall worth of this Appartment.
