Overview
Honestly, the Mercure Warszawa Grand caught me off guard in the best way possible. I mean, you walk into the lobby and there’s this immediate sense that someone actually thought about the design here – not just threw together some generic hotel furniture and called it a day. The lighting hits just right, sort of warm and welcoming without being too dim, and the marble floors have this satisfying click when you walk across them in decent shoes.
What really gets me about this place is how it manages to feel both polished and lived-in at the same time. The rooms are properly spacious (and I’m not just saying that because I’ve been stuck in too many shoebox hotels lately), with these big windows that actually open – you know how rare that’s getting these days? The beds are firm without being rock-hard, and the pillows… well, they’re the kind where you don’t immediately start plotting to smuggle your own from home. The bathrooms have good water pressure, which honestly matters more than most people admit until they’re standing under a sad trickle at 7 AM trying to wake up.
The staff here actually seem to know Warsaw, not just the tourist trap version of it. When I asked about getting to some of the quieter neighborhoods, the guy at reception didn’t just hand me a generic map – he marked up specific tram routes and mentioned which stops to avoid during rush hour. Little things like that make a difference when you’re trying to get a real feel for a city. The 8.6 rating makes total sense once you’ve been there a few days; it’s not trying to be the fanciest place in town, but everything just works the way it should. The elevators are quick, the WiFi doesn’t cut out every ten minutes, and room service shows up when they say they will. Sometimes that’s all you really need – a place that handles the basics exceptionally well so you can focus on why you came to Warsaw in the first place.

Guest Reviews
Lovely room, lovely staff, very clean, great location
Very clean, nice staff
The room was spacious. Breakfast was very good!
Location. Staff friendliness and helpfulness. Cleanness of the room and facility in general.
Everything was perfect
A typical well-designed Mercure close to public transportation but on a quiet street. It has a nice lobby and a superb buffet breakfast. There was a wine bar that I did not visit, but others seemed to like it.
The elevators were always available, which can sometimes be a problem in a large hotel when you are on an upper floor.
This is one of my favorite hotels in Warsaw. I need to travel a lot for work, so I stay in hotels a lot. And this one is probably the friendliest, the most comfortable hotels ever with a good restaurant downstairs.
Neat and tidy, very good location, good breakfast
Location. My personal attachment/sentyment.
