Hotel Description
You know what? I was honestly a bit skeptical when I first saw “Mieszkanie w Centrum Warszawy” listed as a 3-star place – I mean, the name literally just means “apartment in Warsaw center,” which doesn’t exactly scream luxury. But after staying there twice now (once in summer, once during that brutal February cold snap), I’ve got to say this little spot on Poznańska really gets it right. The location is actually perfect if you want to be in the thick of things without dealing with the tourist circus around the Old Town. You’re literally a 5-minute walk from Plac Zbawiciela – which, honestly, has some of the best coffee in the city if you hit up Plan B or Charlotte – and the whole Śródmieście vibe here feels more like where actual Varsovians live and work.
The apartment itself has this lived-in charm that I really appreciate. It’s not trying to be some sterile hotel experience, you know? The floors creak a little (in a good way), there’s actual character in the moldings, and the windows are these gorgeous tall things that let in amazing light during the day. I will say the street can get a bit noisy on weekend nights – Poznańska connects to some popular bar areas – but honestly, if you’re the type who needs dead silence, you probably shouldn’t be staying in central Warsaw anyway. The kitchen is surprisingly well-equipped; I actually cooked a few meals there, and they had everything I needed, including a decent coffee maker (crucial for morning survival). What really impressed me was how thoughtfully everything was set up – like, there are actual hangers in the closet, the WiFi actually works throughout the space, and the bathroom has proper water pressure, which… well, anyone who’s stayed in older Warsaw buildings knows that’s not always a given.
The whole experience feels more like borrowing a friend’s place than staying in a hotel, which I mean as the highest compliment. Check-in was smooth both times – they’re pretty flexible about timing, which saved me when my flight got delayed. And here’s something I really appreciated: they left a little guide with actual local recommendations, not just the obvious tourist stuff. That’s how I discovered this amazing pierogi place on Hoża that I never would have found otherwise. The 8.8 rating makes total sense to me – it’s not fancy, but it’s genuine, comfortable, and perfectly positioned for exploring the city. Plus, you’re close enough to walk to the Palace of Culture (if you must), but far enough away that you won’t be constantly dodging tour groups. If you’re looking for that authentic Warsaw experience without breaking the bank, this place really delivers.

Cozy getaway – Reene from Estonia – January 10, 2025 (9/10)
Really cozy and clean apartment in central location. Fully equipped kitchen. Many pubs, restaurants and grocery stores nearby. From bigger ones – recommend Spar in Hala Koszyki which is ~5 min walk. Easy to access public transport and central train station.
Very satisfied. – P from United States – December 17, 2024 (9/10)
The place was basically brand new and done well. You could tell because it looks like they have not had time to put much art on the walls, which it could use if they choose quality art. I thought the apartment was very nice and clean for the money. Old plumbing in bathroom but it works. I think that is probably typical. The building staircase is pretty rough but it did not matter to me. Location was very convenient.
What could be improved: Staircase needs a paint job.Great location. – Sinan from United Kingdom – July 5, 2024 (9/10)
Fantastic apartment, modern and comfortable with high ceilings. Has everything I needed. Bed is very comfortable. Good kitchen, good bathroom. It was very clean all around. Location is the best. walking distance to restaurants bars.
What could be improved: Although it was generally quiet since it looks into courtyard, away from fraffic, there was construction noise everyday in the morning in the courtyard. I guess I was unlucky.Exceptional – Jontel from New Zealand – June 17, 2024 (10/10)
Fantastic street with lots of great bars and cafes, 5 min walk into the centre and transport all around. Very neat apartment and comfy bed, washing machine was also handy to have. A great stay and I'd definitely recommend it
What could be improved: Nothing!Nice stay and would come back again. – Olha from Luxembourg – March 19, 2024 (8/10)
The apartment is in good location, walking distance from the railway station and the Palace of culture. Nice cafes, restaurants and bars are nearby.
The apartment was clean, easy to access with codes provided.
As the windows are looking into the inner yard, the car or other noise was not heard.
What could be improved: Small points only: No elevator if needed, but it is an old house in the city.
A strange smell in the bathroom (probably, from canalisation), but it was not distracting much.
Also, when you flash the water, the toilet was making so loud sound.Wonderful – Dexteris from Lithuania – December 22, 2023 (9/10)
Very good location, near the new center, shopping centers. Convenient access to the city's attractions. It is very easy to find, the room is newly furnished and cozy.
What could be improved: There is no parking space, but we easily found a paid space on the same street.Great place in the center of Warsaw! – Milan from Germany – November 20, 2023 (9/10)
Theres a little key-safe thing right opposite the entrance to the flat. You jut pop in the code which you recieve from the host an viola, you have the key and can unlock the door. The host replies very quickly too, which was handy, as I literally booked this accommodation on my phone 5 mins prior to entering.
What could be improved: I think I was one of the first people to stay here, thus theres probably still some things which will change or update. I was missing WiFi, but thats on me because I shouldve double checked the reservation.
